If you're yet to pay a visit to the excellent Cast Theatre may I recommend that you plan a night out there in November? I happen to be making my stage debut in Guys and Dolls and I'd love to have your support. Cheers. http://castindoncaster.com/whats-on/local-talent-musical/guys-and-dolls

Before I buy a ticket, are you a Guy or a Doll?
-
Ha ha... You'll have to come and find out!
-
Ooh, you are awful! But I like you!
PS: for the record, I always find out BEFORE I come.
-
Trying to get someone to come with me... I think you should have words with my theatre heathen boyfriend Mike & tell him to man up and go!
-
Jenny.
Given the double entendre in this thread, you might want to re-think your first sentence.
-
My innocent mind...

Nice one mike - I've done a couple in the second space there and run the backstage for another! It's a great venue - and one the town can be proud of - unfortunately like the km I the majority of donny ain't that fussed! I'll be there for a show mate!
-
I'll pop along. Discount for VSC membership????
-
Bump!
3 weeks to go. Less than the price of a Rovers match and I won't get all pissy on twitter if you boo me off!
-
I'm giving this another bump as opening night is Tuesday (running through to Saturday 7:30 every night & matinee at 2:15pm Saturday).
Please if at all possible come along and see the show. It's looking fantastic in rehearsals and the venue is top class.
If you think a night at the theatre isn't for you, I reckon you'd be pleasantly surprised.

Thanks,

Will there be nudity?
-
Fortunately not!
-
I'm coming on Thursday night so can you make that one extra good please?
-
Jenny.
You're at it again! Stop it!
-
The wife, stepkids and I are bobbing in for a show at some point - break a leg mike and if I can be involved with phoenix at all in future let me know as I've not been involved at the little theatre for a while now and chances to be involved with jkl drama group are a little thinner than anticipated! Al

All the best Mike. Enjoyed my stint in Sweet Charity this summer with Hatfield Woodhouse Players. Can't wait for the next one. Rumour has it, it may be Sunshine on Leith, bring it on !
-
We should get a little group of Rovers fans that enjoy treading the boards and put some stuff together - Pitmen Painters, Brassed Off, Full Monty etc etc etc! that'd be cool! ;)
-
Did I tell you I can play the trombone, Al? ;-)

I've got a busload of colleagues coming to that one too so the pressure's on!
-
Right then, you lot... First two shows done and they've both been fantastic. Get your tickets while they're still available for the rest of the week!
-
Mike,
From someone who's done an awful lot over the years with theatres, groups and shows - can I say congratulations on your debut - Claire, the stepkids and I were there tonight and thoroughly enjoyed it. Well done you!
Lovely to see Jess, Danny and Ian (among others) who I've directed, acted and worked behind the scenes with before on a massive variety of shows and a romantic comedy musical set loosely in prohibition America is a tough genre to pull off especially when you have to take hold of the drawl and keep it consistent.
Very enjoyable evening's entertainment!
Once again - well done you!
PM sent too bud!
Alan

Thanks Al and Jenny for your support over the last couple of evenings!
