He intended to say that the Tories represent the poor. He got his tongue tied up in knots and came out with a bit of unintended honesty. He said that the Tories resent the poor.

How apt after Osborne's plans to cut working tax credits for the lowest paid, which will fund a tax cut of £1600 for those earning £50k.
