Same team as Tuesday night
COYR
-
Can't see us winning this but hope I'm wrong.
-
Hope we don't do a usual give away by a set piece.
-
0 - 6 Rovers. Theo with 3 goals in both halves. And then Copps to score in injury time. 0 - 7.
-
Tyson's not even on the bench! Seems odd, he's had a decent scoring record.
-
Rovers player bingo.
When will it first go down?
a) before kick-off
b) 0-10 mins
c) When Biltcliffe knocks the cord out after a goal
d) half time biscuits block the system
e) it will never work
f) injury time
-
it's b)!! Its b)!!! Lovely.
-
Bit of static there, the cord is coming loose!
-
Oooh, it's back! the excitement never ends!!
-
Tyson is injured, isn't he?
-
Paddy Kenny, how we going to get the ball round him?
-
Player down again!
-
And the answer is B) 0 - 10 minutes. Congratulations to all those who guessed correctly.
I personally went for biscuit block the system.
-
Gone again after 11 minutes .... can I guess again?!! Got my bingo dobber ready! :)
-
Everyone, and I mean everyone that listens to player needs to get on their case and make a complaint, it's just not good enough!
-
16 mins and it's back. Wonder if we're winning.
-
By all means complain about the player service, but let's not let this descend into a diatribe against DRFC, surely the service provider is at fault?
However, I am more interested in what is happening on the pitch - that is if anyone can tell??
-
The Oldham commentary is a bit rustic but its continuity is worthy.
-
16 mins and it's back. Wonder if we're winning.
What pisses me off is that they don't even acknowledge it went off!
-
A bright start by Rovers with a couple of decent shots on target.

I could accept that if the oppositions player went off as well, it never does but wekeep getting fed bullshit!

Maybe they don't know?
-
Brian Wilson at right back for Oldham. I'm getting good vibrations about this one.
-
mine is okay on the old version of player

So why did they dial back in to the server then?
They also got told via twitter, but the preson on the twitter account doesn't respond
-
I dunno Filo, I don't know how the hardware works, or how much is automated with the commentary team in blissful ignorance?
Anyway, The poor service is one reason I don't subscribe.
-
Searching... Destination out of order.
-
And it's down again!
-
Searching... Destination out of order.
Completely off topic Stu, but you just reminded me of "Destination Zululand" by King Kurt...

Wouldn't it be nice, though.

Now there's a tune.

Idm it is no way the servers fault most of the time,it happens mainly Everytime something exciting happens and the other teams works most of the time it's all very defending the club but this is a joke now,if you bought a tv and most of the time it didn't work you would get a full refund
-
Shall we make our own commentary up?
-

Agreed, and thats why I'm onto them all the time, I want a full and proper explanation!
-
bpool all I am saying is I dunno where the problem lies, but the club has made statements about player on the OS.
And I agree with Filo, it clearly isn't good enough - regardless of where the fault lies.
I won't buy into it whilst it is so poor.
-
Yeeeeeeeeeaaaaaahhhhhhhhh...
... Just found a quid under sofa!!
-
Here's Doolan with a raking ball across the pitch to Mulligan..
-
Shall we make our own commentary up?
Only if we can make up our own score ;)
-
Here's Doolan with a raking ball across the pitch to Mulligan..
Who centres for Lewis Guy to finish with a Euro-96 Gascoine-esque lob...
-
NNNNNNNNNNNNNN00000000000000000000
(just remembered I've got to do my christmas shopping)

Well it's time for work, not much action from that first half commentary
-
Yes the club make statements on it and nothing improves,in fact it's getting worse

It's got considerably worse since Shaun Lockwood left

From BBC:
Oldham 0-0 Doncaster
Posted at 15:41
Oldham had been on the backfoot in their all League One encounter with Doncaster but the hosts have just had a couple of chances of their own. First Jonathan Forte has his volley saved by the Sam Johnstone and, at the second attempt, Jabo Ibehre smashed over from eight yards

Can anyone remember what we did before rovers player even existed?

I think there's a dodgey valve connection in their wireless machine.
So, 7th April 1947, a crowd of 16,621 at Boundary Park
Lambton
Corbett, Woodbridge
Stirland, Bycroft, McFarlane
Kirkcaldie, Owens, Jordan, Todd, Maddison
Can Rovers get back on track after only drawing last week after 10 wins in a row?

Whooaaaahhh!!!! What's going on, I'm getting music (of a sort) during the half time tea break! Have I been hacked by Sh*t FM????
-
I like to think they are compensating for the cut-outs by giving us a taste of Ibiza 2007.

I wonder if Paul Todd will manage to get his 20th of the season today, 20 in 33 games wouldn't be too bad for our 2nd top goalscorer this season.

Blimey, those were the modern days - the vid printer on Grandstand's final score giving us the scores in the last 5 or 10 mins was the best in my day.

-
Bugger ... gone again at 4:15 UK time. That wasn't on my bingo sheet!
-
The lines gone mate. Eyes down for your full house.
-
It's back!! I know we're approaching Panto season but why do we have to endure a "It's gone" .... "Oh no it hasn't" interlude???
-
I'm starting to see this in an entirely different light ..... 30 odd quid for a whole year of panto entertainment!!! Bargain. :scarf:
-
FULL HOUSE!
Tune in next week for another round of rovers player Bingo.
-
HOUSE!!!!!!!!!!! It's gone again.
-
Is there a football match on or not?
-
Panto season on Player will never regain the heights of the Bradders/Bluff era :santa:
1, 2, 3... "oooooooooooooo! aaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!"
Who, what, why, where? Goal? Pen? Rheumatism?
-
Is there a football match on or not?
Neither side sounds anywhere near good enough to score. 0 - 0 frosty FA cup game on a hill in Lancashire.
-
Thank you. Will take a late winner in this one..
-
Robinson forces a good save from Kenny.
-
"Fantastic save Kenny"

K'in 'ell!!! I was just looking at posts on here saying we'd scored and I thought they were taking the piss as the commentary was a couple of minutes behind. Bugger, I must move into the same dimension as everyone else!!
-
Liverpool away in the third round.
-

It was in the stars - now to go and win the league!
Funnily enough, I missed that we did beat Oldham in the cup away that same record breaking season, 2-1 in the 2nd round in front of 25,036. Went out to Plymouth in the 3rd round 2-3, at home with a 24,129 crowd.
-
Stat of the day: this is only the fourth time that Rovers have reached the third round of both the FA Cup and League Cup in the same season - the others being 1964-5, 2005-6 and 2006-7

Your stats always make me stand to attention. ;)

How were our fans today -hope no smoke bombs or flares ?
-
Fighting amongst themselves at half time and fighting with the stewards towards the end of the game. Standard.
-
What on earth are a section of our supporters trying to do to the name of our club-are they interested in the football or do they just go to get drunk and cause trouble ?

BRR - absolutely brilliant that you brought up a 1946-7 match at Oldham today - see Amazing Stat thread on main board.
