Can't post a link to the story (in the Daily Fail) but the banner unveiled by the Standard Liege Ultras at the game against Anderlecht has caused a bit of a stir!

Puts into perspective any debates we've had re applauding / booing former players, I think!

It certainly made me grin pretty widely when I read about it. Quite creative I thought and demanding of quite a bit of time and effort. Yes. It was in poor taste but why the devil should poor taste be teated as a crime against humanity? They're talking about banning them from footer for 5 years! For goodness sake! The thought police are taking over the world these days.
