Nice to see the players play like it is already the summer months... Could get turned over on Tuesday night if we play like that.
And why oh why does Dickov keep playing JCH over our own youngsters? It's baffling.
-
Yes very dull game, I didn't think we wanted to win if at all, until about the 88th minute when wellens ran through the defence and then forrester shot.
-
Did some painting this morning.been better at home watching it dry.
-
Uneventful end of season game, good to see Lund playing and having a good game. Time to send JCH back to Rotherham and play Manderville up front for the rest of the season, let's see what he is worth.
COYR
-
I agree about jch unless he is thinking of signing him
-
Lund dint look out of place and better than Wabara
-
Thought Lund did well but again it's hard to tell in basically a friendly match
-
Agreed, send JCH back, get all the kids in now.
Interesting that before the game Dickov said he's going to have more time to decide on his team next year and just because some players are still under contract, it doesn't mean they are in his plans.
If we are stuck with Dickov then its time to get ruthless Paul! I cannot watch much more of this shit and not getting a season ticket next year I certainly wont be paying for it.

Why would we want him he is SHIT and we have enough shit strikers
-
Yet another 90 minutes of boring, brandless football at home.
-
Thought that was the best jch had played for us, and he was far better than main was, who was dreadful.
-
Absolutely shocking display, ok it was an end of the season game, but it was no different to what we have subject to all season. Today was a chance for the players to put on a bit of a display for us long suffering supporters & although the effort was there, there was nothing else, for that Dikov must take a large chunk of the blame, the system he plays at home does not work & hasn't all season, he still persists with it even with just a couple of games left.
Was thinking about what positives we can take into next season, came up with nothing, this team is devoid of any direction, pattern, passion or passing ability, would like to see our pass completion stats for today, we are s__t scared whenever the ball comes within 10 yards of our area lumping it into nomans land every opprtunity. Going forward we look like we haven't a clue what we should be doing, it's like watching a throwback to the conference years, hoping we gat a lucky break. We have a striker in Main who looks the part but plays like he can't be a___d, virtually refuses to jump for a ball, lets the defender get in front of him he just stands there. To be fair he is fed on scraps due the way we play.

As was Copps
-
As were a lot of them.
3 games unbeaten now, were on a roll
-
Dickov out - that was awful and one of the worst games of football I've ever watched.
-
19 goals from 22 games. Whether is negativity from the crowd or the pitch but we have to accept it according to DB.
To use his analogy
It’s fair to say that the employees of Doncaster Rovers with their decision making, performances and results on and off the pitch at home have made some supporters feel pretty sh*t at times this year. Hope they're proud.
-
Barring the last 20 where we turned up the heat (albeit to has mark 3) I said to my mate you know it's a terrible game when one of the more prominent round of applause was for Furman simply running 60 yards in a straight line to pressure their midfielder, then defender, then keeper. Don't see the point of analysing today's game re players/manager/tactics. The flip flops were well and truly on for both sides.
-
Pitch looked really good today I thought.
-
Paul keeping Clarke-Harris on tells me that he could become a permanent signing, i do like how he has had a look at a few of the youth players, it adds a bit more interest to games that don't mean all that much.

What's brandless football mean ? Is brandless even a word ? I'm assuming you mean lack of any sort of style..

He was brought on at half time

Typical end of season fare. Although tbf Fleetwood were poor given they still had something to play for. Main was shocking. We need someone to bag a few next season. For all Tyson's industry his ability to finish is just lacking. Lund did OK but doesn't give me the spark say like Snods did but early days and it's hard to shine at full back. Pitch is shocking. Ball rarely runs true. Doesn't help to play footy on. Needs sorting close season................oh aye..what close season. Boot the Dons off

Idiot. I'm sure you'll be pleased to know though, that the Dons are playing 2 home games at Castle Park so the ground staff have a full month to treat and service the pitch....

Boot the Dons off and council will boot us off.

Boot the Dons off and council will boot us off.
Not sure how that would happen. The stadium is held under a 99 year lease.
-
JR really got away with daylight robbery here.
Surrender 60-ish years left on lease at Belle Vue in return for brand spanking new £32million stadium that a few years later we ended up in same situation as Belle Vue, but with longer lease and our not paying a penny for any of this.
Absolute genius.
Unless you are a DMBC council tax payer without any interest in Rovers, which as we know is just about everyone in Donny.
I note only that JR and I think Dick and Terry are not council tax resident in Donny.

Why don't people realise that the Dons are part of the stadium without them there would have been no stadium.
-
It seems the away teams seem to cope with pitch . But didn't club boast that they had all the FAs pitch preparation stuff to use !!
As for lease that stayed with the old company , Drfc ( patienceform ) had a completely new lease .
-
Not having a go at the Dons, but a pitch needs a good 2 month break in the summer.
Depending upon whether the Desso renovation is taking place this year, the root development needs undisturbed time to establish. Playing ANY game on it before it is settled is asking for trouble later in the season.
If you want a year round surface, 3G offers that, but the FL recently voted against.
Realistically, Dons need to plan for home games outside the renovation period, either by fixture swaps, or decamp to Castle Park until July.
-
are sheffied moving as well as the dons

I think you may be underestimating the effort that Andy Liney put in at that particular time, without him it would never have happened.
Dick is definitely a local resident.

drfc1951, not sure if you're agreeing with me or not. But the point I made was that DRFC control the lease at the Keepmoat which means the council have no real say in who plays there.
-
I am agreeing with you but people keep slagging the Dons off, what I am saying is the Dons are tenants of the stadium and shouldn't be booted off.
-
Well I think your all WRONG.
I would like to thank PD for the line up and the way we played.
My reason behind this is that I was able to read the matchday programme in peace from cover to cover with out any hint of interference, and I appreciated the whistle at the start , and also for my 15 minute break.
And again the whistle sounding for the 2nd stint of reading...........and the perfect timing of others going home from this vast array of empty seats so I was able to read aloud to my wife in suitable quietness.
Once Again thanks to all concerned of the 11 and not forgetting the subs for keeping the noise to a low level.
I do hope I have other days where I can keep my mind occupied with such inept playing and I do hope the Management take solitude in my portraying the situation SO Succinctly.

I feel really selfish now.
I was hoping for NO added time as I was bord s*****ss but I forgot there may be other good folk like yourself who actually may have wanted +9 minutes
I apologise for my selfishness as I can now see it from your point of view
