This is the last match of the season, no?
Maybe next year Donny would have a chance to promote in Championship but from what I saw, the club needs some good new players.

Correct, this is the final game and Scunthorpe are the club that in many folks' opinions are our longest and most traditional rivals - we have regularly been in the same division and the towns are not many miles apart.
With nothing to play for, the game could be quite boring but being a local derby adds something. Plus there are several ticket offers so there will be a decent crowd.
Despite the quiet end to our season in recent games, I am looking forward to this one.
-
Then let's hope to win for the honor of this club.
-
Marosi, Lund, Butler, Jones (c), Evina, Bennett, Wellens, Furman, Forrester, Coppinger, Tyson
Bench
Bywater, Wabara, Stevens, Middleton, Main, J.McKay, Whitehouse
-
I was just about to post that!
-
Theo not even on bench. :byebye: :byebye:
-
Yup, gotta conclude that he's going bye-byes. I can't say I am too upset about that*, and it may well also suggest that Bywater's time with us is coming to an end as well... mebbe.
*Assuming that we intend to bring someone in who can score goals and start games.
-
Razak and McCombe :byebye: :byebye:

Well, to be fair to PD, he's intimated that there will be a 'night of the long knives' soon enough. Hopefully, this is an indication that he's weedling out the dead wood and replacing it with better.
It's sink or swim time for him, I reckon. I really hope that he makes good on his promises.
-
PD has to treat today as his cup final, local derby, finish the season on a win, and also back up that now is the time for change, he needs to show a big home crowd that he can achieve and display good football, especially after the boring performances in recent weeks.
Nothing less than a win here Mr Dickov, and a convincing and good performance included in that!!
-
Well, the SKitsons haven't beaten us at home since 1998 (I think), so it's a good game for us. Yeah, 20th best home form over the season and 23rd over the last six isn't going to get bums on seats - or instil faith in the manager. We really need a momentum-gaining win today.
-
Bit late for a momentum gaining performance and result but I share your thoughts and sentiments lipsy!
-
Well, I am trying to be hopeful/positive. A win today and then some commanding performances in the pre-season friendlies, then. :)
-
Rovers Player. Have they given up for the season? Getting nothing yet ..... anyone else got commentary?
-
yes I have
-
Thanks for that .... I'm still getting silence. Bugger.
-
YAY!
-
still cant score at home takes an own goal lol
1st home game i have missed for 5 years that i could have made, shame but thats mainly down to expecting to get nothing at home.
-
I was thinking much the same. Finally we have found someone who can score for us at home - sign him up!

Shame I was DESPERATE to go but am in bed with bad sciatica pains. This is a local derby ffs !
-
2-0 and we have scored :)
-
Tyson!
-
bloody typical, following on twitter and paul goodwin sounds like we are making a game of it shame its not the first game of the season.
-
Well, let's cross out fingers and think of this as being the first game of the new season. Or summat.
-
3-0 rob jones
-
Where's this home form been all season?!!
-
Amazing, innit? Let's hope this is something we can continue. I have my doubts, but you can't knock it while the going's good.
-
Scunny come back? Sounds a ridiculous goal!
-
never do anything easy do we
-
BBC have it as a Butler own goal
-
What odds on a Tyson hat-trick?!!!
-
Dare I say? Looking a positive end to a disappointing season :coat:
-
Maybe get a positive goal difference haha
-
Is there a time delay on Player? I got a notification from BBC Sport of the second penalty being scored before it had even been taken according to Player commentary
-
We score as many in one game than we had all season at home
-
Maybe get a positive goal difference haha
No we won't! :(
-
My nephew was ball boy/mascot today...maybe he gave the lads some advice in the tunnel!

... And that answered that! Well done to all today
-
Victory with 5-2 :scarf:
-
More of that next season, please. A LOT more. Well done all.
-
Play like that at home next season and we will be champions.
Shame it took till the last game to play that well at home, frustrating as we all know that is what we can do

Play like that at home next season and we will get stuffed by better side on a regular basis. Poor in defence, across the back line and in particular the keeper.

I thought Marosi did ok. On the second goal everyone expected one of their players to head it but they were both that shit that they both missed it. He was positioned to save the flick on.

Couldn't really judge Marosi, he had nothing to do all game barring the free kick that went through him.
Jones was shown up for his woeful lack of pace in the first half when they hit the bar, and then in the second half when they got yheir first goal
-
so, who was your man of the match? Tyson probably deserved it, but what about Coppinger, Furman or Forrester? Either of these three could win the Viking Chat Player of the Year 2014/15, so make your vote count! http://www.drfc-vsc.co.uk/index.php?topic=252416
