Stat attack v Bury:
Games won: 18
Games drawn: 11
Games lost: 30
Results in recent history against Bury has been poor, maybe even worse than against Yeovil!
In the last 20 years we have won 3 and lost 11. Hopefully Saturday will see us start to turn the tide against The Shakers.
-
Bury's a shit hole, I'm glad we're at home.
2-1 Rovers, I'm saying.

Yep, my alltime worst ground too.
1-1.for me.
-
3-0: Williams Hat-trick, Stuckman clean sheet and Chaplow gets MOM! YAY!
Haha!
-
Rovers XI: Stuckmann, McCullough, Jones(c), Butler, Taylor-Sinclair, Wellens, Chaplow, Forrester, Coppinger, Main, Williams.
Dissapointed Lund did't get his start but very happy Main is starting. I think he is going to be our main man this year.
-
That's actually a good strong line up.
No Keegan or N'guessan?
-
I remember going to Bury, having to walk through a market to get to their ground, not a great one.
3-1 rovers.
Good line up, who is on the bench?
-
Rovers subs: Marosi, Evina, Tyson, Mackenzie, Lund, Middleton, Whitehouse. #drfc

August 2004 since we last won a season opener at home :s

How many times have we started at home in that time?
-
Mixed memories of Gigg Lane.
Seen us get royally arse-holed there several times. But also saw THE finest left-foot volley you will ever see. Leo: to Blundell: Oh my WORD!
-

Cheers!
-
If BBC report on the game is accurate, we are dominating the game, need to turn that into goals.
-
Good chance from a corner Butler header well saved apparently.
-
Barnsley 1-0 v Chesterfield. Blades losing 1-0 to Gillingham.
-
Stuckman is keeping us in this.
Leon Clarke is causing us issues
-
INTO MAIN.... and wide
-
Awful first half, Bury should be ahead by at least one.
Happy New Season.
-
Has our appalling home form last season haunting the team this season, hope not!
-
It's not sounding great is it!
-
For the record, my gonads are fully retracted in anticipation.
-
Defence comfortable but all at sea a few times
Centre mid awful
Wingers mediocre
Curtis main the comedy player - so terrible it could be funny
Williams hardly touched the ball
-
Stuckman looks class, Main looks shite.
Same old Saturday :scarf:
-
Bury look a half decent side, if we are not taking our chances, again like last season, Bury will take theirs. Need PD to earn his corn, with an inspirational half time team talk.
-
Got to feel sorry for Williams, he's pulling their back line all over and Main..... words fail me. Only playing with 10 men.
-
Maybe a change is needed at HT to tighten up the defence, MacKenzie perhaps?
-
Maybe a change is needed at HT to tighten up the defence, McKenzie perhaps?
EXACTLY but it's a difficult situation subbing "you know who"
it would be interesting to know if Main performs better when rovers play away
got a feeling he's scored more away than home ?
-
Chill out. 45 minutes into a 9 month season.
-
At least it's sounding like a more exciting game... or is that because I turned the volume up?
-
Black bank sound good though, keep it up lads!!
-
How many shots has Leon Clarke had?
-
Middleton and Evina on for Chaplow and Williams.
-
Loving the bottom of the table right now!
22 Blades
23 Wigan
24 Bradford
-
Think BBC may have got it wrong.. Marosi on for Andy Williams!! 😂
-
Goallllll....
-
Goooooooaaaaalllllll
-
Bizarre.
-
bizarre. sounds like Forrester was supposed to kick back to keeper, and he kicked it over Keepers head?
-
Get in hazza
-
letting Bury walk it in to equalise. shouldn't have done that. f*ck em.
-
We've let them walk it in
-
I've no idea what has just happened.
-
Bugger that walking it in...
What happened? Anyone at the game comment?
-
Knackers
-
After the injury to their player Forrester kicked it back to their keeper and ended up scoring.
We've then let them walk it in.
What are the rules on this?
-
where was our defence???? Got to do better against L**ds.
-
letting Bury walk it in to equalise. shouldn't have done that. f*ck em.
Really? Was there something unfair about our goal???

Forrester was passing it back to the keeper from about 40 yards. It's gone over keeper and in. Keeper's fault for being shite.
-
Ref had no option but to allow goal. Dickov being very sportsmanly straight after Forrester kicked it in instead of passing it back which I totally agree with and credit to Dickov!!! I don't care what anyone says, Forrester KNEW what he was doing!!!
Sad that Forrester being a tad arrogant has cost Stuckman a clean sheet though.
I also think the way we were playing up until that incident we would have pushed for a winner.
-
Apparently, one of their players went down, apparently feigning injury. Ref buys it... Stops game. Drop ball. Forrester kicks back to keeper from 40 yards. Keeper is off his line. Goes over him into the goal.

Then surely that's the Keepers fault with poor positioning ?

If thats what happened, then I think it's right what we've done.Don't want to win as cheats. If I remember rightly, was'nt that what happened with Sheff utd and Arsenal? But from a throw in?Arsenal was so ashamed of the backlash after that they offered to replay the game?

Not really...as I recall it was a 'move' finished off that caused the uproar....this sounds like a misjudgment on a couple of people's sides
-
Sounds classy.
-
What was the gate?
-
The whole thing is arguable. It was the keepers fault, but Forrester seems to have intended what he did too. Overall for me, we did the right thing.
-
The worst part about the incident was the refs had no idea.
-
Knackers. I've gone nuts in the hotel bar when it came up 1-0 and had to slope out 30 seconds later, dragging my towel behind me.

They must have TV's that predict the future in Greece, it took a damn sight longer than 30 seconds between goals :)
-
So if it was the last game of the season and we needed 3 points to stay up would we have allowed them to walk it in, I very much doubt it so why do it today (or if it was any other team in a position like that for that matter ) there Keeper wasn't concentrating simple as that
-
If that 2 points between playsoffs and just outside that is very stupid decision but lets hope us being nice pays off later in the season
-
There is no way Harry intended to score. It was just a knock back to the keeper.
However the keeper was very badly positioned.
I agree though that Bury were time wasting and their player was staying down for the sake of it when the keeper threw the ball out.
I suppose we did the decent thing in letting them score though because the intention was to give them the ball back.
-
Harry fully meant it, keeper was on edge of box waiting for the backpass but had no chance when Harry chipped him. Agree with the decision to let them equalise.
The one thing that makes my piss boil is the fact that players put the ball out when there is an "injury" LEAVE IT TO THE REF TO STOP THE GAME.

I saw that too & thought Dicvkov had REALLY lost the plot 😁
