Title: Theoretical daft different look at team selection.
Post by: Al4475 on August 08, 2015, 09:43:59 am
Humour me a bit on this.

Let's assume that you are PD and that ALL your squad is 100% fit, 100% in form and 100% ready for today's opening game of the season.
The six players you have signed have to go in your starting XI as that's why you've bought them.  Who are the five remaining players from last season that join you're newly signed spine of the team and why do you pick them?
You can play whatever players in whatever positions in whatever formation you like:

GK: Stuckman
LB/WB: Taylor-Sinclair
CB: MacKenzie
CM: Chaplow
Wing/Att: N'Guessan
CF: Williams

Who fits in your team with these six? I'd go:

Butler, McCullogh, Wellens, Forrester and Copps

I'd play Wellens alongside Chaplow, put Copps on the opposite wing to N'Guessan and play Forrester just behind Williams, Butler obviously partners MacKenzie and McCullogh takes the right sided defender slot.

i don't kow about the Rovers team but i do know the Bury team they are going to play "11 human beings "

when their manager Flitcroft was at Barnsley his pet phrase "was human beings" as we all know !!

so got a funny feeling he will play eleven of them

Flitcroft talked as much garbage as a certain poster does on this site    ....
