Stat Attack
Won: 13
Drawn: 8
Lost: 16
Rovers last won at London Road over 4 years ago, and have only managed 2 points in the last 3 games since then against The Posh. We actually had a good overall record over the last few years; we have only lost the fixture once in 9 games since 1997.
-
Posh!
-
I'm back on rovers player today. I've got a confession to make, for the first time last month since rovers player came about (I've been a subscriber since day one) I didn't renew my subscription. Listening to us lose every week amid the cut-outs finally got to me. But that month I felt so guilty I just had to go back. I was waking up in cold sweats. Forgive me father for I have sinned.
I need Biltcliffe cheering for the opposition, Chepeke's ramblings, and beep beep beep destination out of order back in my life. Up the rovers.
-
I just need Biltcliffe to refer to my team with something a bit more partisan than "Doncaster".
-
Tom has been going to the rovers home and away for over 15 years but he has to curb his enthusiasm because he has a job to do
Glen Wilson always gets plaudits for his commentary and he has to do the same
If the ranted and raved you wouldn't find out what is happening
-
Two changes. McCullough and Williams for Mackenzie and Anderson.
-
Anderson not in the squad.
-
Anderson must be injured noooooooooooooooo
-
Bench. Marosi, Forrester, Keegan, Nguessan, Taylor-Sinclair, Middleton, Horsfield.
-
Bet the palace fan will be pissed off
More to the point iam was hoping he would at least make the bench
-
Posh missing their two top goalscorers through injury.
-

What sort of reception did DF receive?
-
Too early, the teams are only out warning up now
-
Dare I ask if anyone has got commentary yet?
-
Yep l have it on already
COYR
-
Dare I ask if anyone has got commentary yet?
Give over... it's not 14.59:59 yet :)
-
It was a problem my end ... apparently you've got to change your settings if you're listening on chrome.
-
Morning everyone.
-
I know we are having a minutes silence, but kick off is late already
COYR
-
yeah .. no t's
-
1-0 Posh. Sounded a good start from them. Another goal confessed from a corner.
-
Corner again shit
-
Sounds like we're up against it, and as I say that we go 1-0 down
-
Not a good start, sounds like poor defending once again
COYR
-
And the cheers go up in the rovers commentary box as the opposition score.
-
Wellens on a yellow already
-
Can't understand why we won't sign any defenders it's every game
-
Not a happy return for DF so far.
-
Lol it's seems that way copps
-
Struggling to keep the ball at he moment
-
Our defense sounds shocking!
-
Goal scorer for the Posh being subbed, some relief at last
COYR
-
Most goals against us this season seem to come from free kicks or corners into the box.
-
Wellens yellow in second minute!
-
Sounds like Butler is having a mare
-
19 minutes gone and the Posh have already had 9 shots, 3 on target
COYR
-
Must say the games I have not made this season the commentary has been good, but it's awful today not keeping up with play at all
-
Fair to say it's not been the best of starts.
-
This doesn't sound good at all, if anything good comes out of this first half it will be the fact that Fergie can see how shit our defence is
-
Ref bottles a blatant red card for a foul against Tyson
-
Rate, that's me turning commentary off. BYe.
-
0-2 game over!
-
Need a big second half, sounding as Tyson is struggling
COYR
-
thats another bet out of the window
-
Cricket score coming up here if we don't get a grip
-
Cricket score coming up here if we don't get a grip
I think we're already in damage limitation mode
-
Dear, oh dear, oh dear ! :(
-
Until we get 2 or 3 defenders we will be in a relegation battle
-
Need something special in the 2nd half, a flooded pitch would be my request!
COYR
-
Hope Fergie has inherited his dads hair drier' because this lot need something to get them going!

Would be a bit of Karma for Charlton!
-
@drfc_official: 46- The teams are back out, there has been one change, Aaron Taylor-Sinclair replaces Richard Chaplow 2-0 #DRFC
COYR
-
3-0
COYR
-
3-0
-
f**king hell, did they have a half time team talk?
-
@PTAlanSwann: Donny had 11 men back for a corner, enabled Posh to work it back into the danger area easily #pufc
-
@paulgoodwinDFP: Butler's header from a corner cleared off the line. #drfc #starlive
COYR
-
Fergie certainly has his work cut out
-
Middleton on for Wellens
COYR
-
The players are Just not good enough for league 1.
-
Tyson hits the bar and Forrester replaces Williams
COYR
-
Very difficult job for do with what he has inherited.been very noticeable for some time the weakness of our defence.listening to radio Sheff appear to be running us ragged although Tyson just rattled bar.
-
Been the same for 2 season can't understand how any of that defense get in the 1st 11
-
Due to it being only defence we have, bringing in poor players, injury prone and no pace
-
The players are Just not good enough for league 1.
But they are. Our attack should cause problems but it doesn't. It's the midfield. It neither creates or protects the back 4.
-
Not listening to the game but just seen our subs on the BBC site - Taylor-Swift on for Chaplow and Forrester on for Williams, what's that all about?
I have no idea why N'Guessan isn't getting a game for us.
-
@paulgoodwinDFP: 4-0. Washington 25-yarder. #drfc #starlive
It gets worse
COYR
-
4-0, f**king shite!
-
Well, it's probably a true reflection of he team at the moment. It's probably a good thing to get a thrashing early to give the full picture. Onwards.
-
Fergie won't be under any illusion as to the task ahead after today.I think we might see at least one new face by the end of next week or maybe more.
-
I thought there'd be a few goals today, was just hopeful they wouldn't all be in this direction. :(
-
New face? Yeah probably the manager. Wouldn't blame him if he changed his mind after today!
-
I expect some strong words and desisive action from Fergie after this!
-

I was going to post something similar. Getting tonked in the second game in charge can't be the worst thing in the grand scheme. Hopefully it shows up things as they really are and is the catalyst for some proper changes.
You have to feel sorry for the fans that have made the journey.
-
Our defence isn't good enough. DF has a LOT of work to do
-
Fergie must be pissed off at getting hammered at Posh of all places.
-
I expect some strong words and desisive action from Fergie after this!
We had strong words and "decisive actions" from both PD and Rob Jones to no avail, will DF make any difference?
COYR
-
On some very basic level this squad is simply not good enough to survive in this league. We still have no regular (decent) full backs at the club and the midfield is not athletic, big enough, or quick enough to get up and down the pitch and control games. Second balls is an important term in this scrappy frenetic league and I bet my cock we're the lowest in the league for winning them. Without Keshi, we also don't have a strike force.
Some of the riff raff that Dickov has left us need to be shipped out the nearest non-league club that will take them.

Part of me is actually excited to see what DF does

Dickov out

TBH it could have been a similar result in the Shrewsbury game with the good chances they missed.
Changes much needed.
-
Copps can u blame just pd,everyone keeps saying there is money there but it never materializes till January, the team was not good enough last year and the defense is far worse,I just don't think there is enough money to get decent players in
-
To people expecting a 'turn-around' under Fergie - what players are you actually expecting him to turn it round with? Harry '50%' Forrester? Taylor-Swift? Middleton? Because that was our bench today!
-
Our defence isn't good enough. DF has a LOT of work to do
And we can't score and it appears the midfield is shite as well. So I reckon that means we're not very good.
Without any doubt we are in a relegation fight.
And wether anyone likes it or not: Mr Bramall and Watson are going to have to put their hands in their very deep pockets.
If they don't, were only going in one direction
-

Me too really.
-
Excited that he might play Middleton instead of Chaplow? I wouldn't get your hopes up.
-
On to Millwall, onwards and upwards. To be honest with the players we have, I do not know how DF can change it around.
COYR
-
decent loan signings would help.
-
Chill folks.. Yes we had a shocker today but the players don't become permanently bad overnight. We do have players in the squad good enough for the division, BUT Ferguson needs to get them playing to their abilities.
The defence needs strengthening and somehow we need to get confidence back into the forward players..
Lots of hyperbole on the forum tonight, and understandable as folks are angry at the performance and the result today.
But this is not the end of the world.
