74, if my spelling was better would have gotten more. Poole was the highest one I didn't get at number 43. F'kin retirement home anyway.

How accurate is this?
Isn't Donny's population over 300k? According to this it is 109k

79/100

Depends on whether you are just looking at the town or the Metropolitan Borough. I always thought the town (which I think extends out to places like Cantley) was a bit less than 100k, whereas the borough (including loads of villages) is more like 300k.

Not sure what this quiz uses - can't anyone set up a Sporcle quiz? Although I would expect that the 100 most populous are more or less the right 100, they may not have that accurate figures.

Donny's population when it was a plain and simple town was lways around the 86,000 mark. i know that cos my Dad was a member of the AA and every couple of years they dished out a handbook to all their memberes. Inside the handbook was a list of pretty well every town in the country with all sorts of details about population, hotels and such like. Spent years reading that damn thing I did! I was always disappointed we couldn't run to anything better than a couple of three star hotels: Punches and the Earl of Doncaster. Mount Pleasant came along later to give us another 3 star in the end.

Donny Met Borough is the 34th most populous in the country, however it's only a few thousand away from the top ten or so.
