If a miracle were to happen and we (the players) grow a set of balls and we won all of our last 5 games, who thinks 53 points is enough to beat the drop?
Seriously - a bit of good fortune in front of goal in the next 2 games and not defending like tail-ends might bring back some hope and pride.

I'm pretty confident 53 points would be enough. Our chance of getting them - see my post on another thread yesterday. :lol:

If I'm honest I have to agree that we are already down, but I'm sure (hope) that this is what DF has to be saying to the players.
Just imagine if we won our next 2 - the hope would be restored and some fighting spirit shown. :boxing: :boxing:

Urgh... The thought of Saturday is worse than a Monday morning at the moment. We are going to get absolutely tonked!!

Obviously things look bleak but if we can somehow muster a win Saturday it would give us a huge boost going into the Chesterfield game.
It is now only between Blackpool, Shrewsbury and Fleetwood. Shrewsbury have a really tough end to the season and Fleetwood and Blackpool have to play each other.

We have no hope whatsoever.
While the gap is large, it is feasible to overcome - but does require us to do something (win games) as well as others to do something (lose games).
We cannot win games. Psychologically this is a huge barrier for us. We will likely not get over that this season, with this manager and this group of players.

I admire the optimism of some of our supporters. We need 47 points just to catch up to where the 5th bottom club is at present! That would take 2 wins, 2 draws and a defeat from our last 5 games, which is possible, but even that seem extremely unlikely given the run we are on.
It's not over until it's mathematically impossible, but I was preparing for League 2 many weeks ago.

All hope is gone. With the Ferguson game plan followed throughout this run there is no way we'll get the points needed to get out of the bottom four even if the rest stayed on the points they have now.
We can't score goals even with kitchen sink game plan and it is that which has been responsible for most of the goals we've conceded. The logical proposition then would be to park the bus and refuse to go gung ho when we're pressing. Just keep probing but keep it tight at the back. We might scratch out a few draws and, who knows, with a bit of luck get a penalty or something and scrape a win.
Wont be enough to keep us up but the alternative is continue as we are and keep getting mugged.
