Title: Pigeon Signs
Post by: RoversAlias on April 23, 2016, 11:18:55 am
I'm currently sat at Newcastle station awaiting the train that will take me down to today's game. A pigeon has just wandered up to me, far closer than they'd usually get, as if to say "hello, my brethren will help you today". A sign perhaps, or it might just be more insanity on my part. But I was right to be optimistic last Saturday morning, so maybe I am again today!

On which note, are there any early birds down at the Keepmoat able to confirm if our new pigeon mascots are in attendance and ready to wreak havoc on the Coventry goal?

  :ermm:

Someone said that one of them was due to be shot during the past week.

I'm there now. No signs of a pigeon at all.

I'm nervous now.

They will turn up once the sprinklers are on and the worms come to the surface.

I've just spotted one of them in the West Stand concourse, it's now gone down the tunnel into the pitch area

No pigeons seen on the pitch.
I did see three on top of the East Stand but it is impossible to know if they are the ones who were usually on the pitch.
The question is "have two that were usually on the pitch been shot?".
Club statement?

I take it the Dons won in their presence then?

This, ladies and gentlemen, is the full force of 'Club Doncaster' in action  ;)

So, with regards to the In Rovers We Trust thing, despite warnings to the contrary, the pigeons clearly do "IRWT".

Lets do a Crow-funding(sic) to buy two Bird of Prey "kites" and fibre glass rods like the ones flying over Amazon Warehouse.

10p each Member would get us 2 and should frighten off the Pigeons - and whenever they choose to call home then they will probably get shot !
