At the fixtures it seems that our fate lies in the hands of Walsall, Peterborough and crewe
-
Just cannot see Crewe doing it when we need them to.
-
As long as they don't do it when we don't want them too. A win of any sorts next Saturday gives us a slight chance.
-
Looking back to when we finished bottom of the Championship we ended up dragging Coventry down on the last day of the season if I recall rightly with a 2-0 win.
Let's hope Crewe want to do the same in a fortnight.
-
Best we can hope for is to go into last game with a mathematical chance. To be out of the running by Burton game will be miserable.
-
Especially seeing Mark f**king Duffy celebrating in front of us while we're already down should they be promoted on that day. f**king cock.
-
We could have done with him this season though.
-
I can see Chesterfield drawing to Bury and losing to Bradford.

Looking at all the permutations I think that is our best chance, pipping Chesterfield on goal difference.
Surely Blackpool will not win their last 2 matches.
There is still hope isnt there. I did say it would go down to the last match.

If we can win our games we will stay up, so in a way our fate is in our own hands, the only way that wouldn't be enough is if all the teams at least matched our results. Very rarely do a collection of relegation strugglers all win regular over a sustained period.
One game at a time Crewe next, don't take it for granted it's won, they will put a better show on for they're fans. So expect a battle, and if after battling with them we don't have three points, then we will deserve to go down.
-
They don't need to match our results though, we need 6 points Chesterfield and Shrewsbury need 2 points and Fleetwood need 3 points
-
Staying up!
7 points from our last 3 games - including taking down the league leaders! It's happened for a reason!
We're going to beat Crewe, and put ourselves within a win of catching each of Chesterfield, Shrewsbury, Fleetwood and Blackpool.
We'll put in another great performance to beat Burton, and catch at least 3 of those 4 teams.
I know DF reckons that staying up won't be celebrated... codswallop!
It's not where we expected to finish at xmas - but survival, given where we were pre-Wigan, is as good as a promotion!
-
You can't make all this up . Once again Rovers , as they have as far as I can remember, have left me once again feeling like I've got something attached to my sphinchter ; ready to explode or die like a damp squib at any moment.
Why do they always do that to us ? It's always the sublime to the ridiculous these days and not a chance of a boring " almost there but never make it" type of Blades season ! I want boring stability if we stay up or more of the same should we go down.
Please can we just get behind this team for now and give them e.g. DF and the Board time to sort out what has been happening behind the scenes properly whichever way the season ends. Can we also , for once, back off and let's get started next season on a more positive note ? RTWD

Rather than thinking the club's going backwards, if we do manage to stop up we will be in a position that would have taken us at least another season to climb back to. So with a bit of positive thinking we can say we're a year (at least) ahead of schedule.................................. IF we stop up!
-
I agree whole heartedly with that BB. 👍

Its doesn't matter if we win both our games if Fleetwood, Shrewsbury and Chesterfield win 1 of there last 2 games
-
Firstly, we need to beat Crewe, then anything can on the last day of the season, nerves will get to every team that has something riding on the game. The teams which hold their nerve and can play their game will be the winners, hope for us it will be Rovers.

2-0 Walsall at HT

I don't see all of them doing that, you would be lucky if one of them manages to win one out of two. None of it will matter if we don't beat Crewe, at the minute the Burton game doesn't need considering because without those three points it's over.
I don't see all three picking many points up. Even if you have a team already relegated like we face in Crewe, at this stage they have nothing to lose and become tougher to play against.
It will be a fight to win that game, they won't just roll over, i would be very surprised if we won, if it was any more than a one or two goal margin.
-
I dont think many people will be expecting us to win by more than an odd goal or two.
