Title: Good luck to the Knights tonight
Post by: Hitchin Exile on May 18, 2016, 07:38:55 am
Wishing the Knights the best of luck in their play off final first leg against Bristol.
To come from the third tier of English rugby to the cusp of being in the Premiership in 2 years is no less an achievement than the Leicester story.
It will be tough as Bristol are the Man City of the league with the money invested in them and abundane of ex internationals they have but as we all know that can count for nothing.

Not a RU fan, but as a Doncaster lad, I hope they smash THE SOUTHERN JESSIES.
I have always wanted to shout that,oh the memories of old Belle Vue.

It will be tough and i hope the Knights can do it . Head says Bristol but i would be ecstatic with a capital E if Knights prevailed

Bookies are 1 to 3 for Bristol to win tonight which is a fair reflection.

As much as I want all Donny clubs to do well I hope they don't go up. With them playing the same time of year as us, we could lose fans to them. Donny folk are fickle and some will more than likely want to support a winning team no matter what the sport.

How many will they win if they are promoted though?
It would be a tough season if they did go up.

I thought they were playing at the Keepmoat if they promoted so they will be playing on different days

Correct ... They and Rovers would be playing different days and times till Knights did their Ground to Prem standard ...

... But one step at a time !

I would love them to go up. Look at the talent that would come here to Donny then. Admittedly they would get hammered and go back but Rome was not built in a day

Also Rotherham Titans went up twice I think so I want Donny to do it and as above the games would not clash as they have this Season. I am 100 per cent Rovers and only watch Knights when games don't clash .. and so I for one hope Knights do it and raise the Towns sporting profile

Exactly. Good for the sport, great for the town. Really hope they do it.

thats that imo. true knights beat thrm away but realstically will be in Champ next Season

Now it depends on the ambition of London Irish and whether they are in position to bounce back a la Harlequins Worcester etc or might stall like Bristol themselves and L / Y Carnegie

If they are rife for jumping though Carnegie for one will be stronger and so Knights even though THEY have been strengthening would still not be a shoe in . Anyway good look to them in 2nd Leg
