Good defender and a hard git ... but a right cynical b*****d ! My memeory is not what it was (I cant even spell meomery right ) but which Rovers player throughout time has been most like him ?
Not a quiz as I personally don't have an answer - I can only offer maybe Mark Albrighton or Animal ?

Apologies for distracting from the OP but that bloke Pepe. What a pitiful excuse for a man. Crying and wailing at any vague waft of a body part near his face. The English lad refereeing the game did a fantastic job of ignoring his pathetic antics. Should have gone a step further and sent the cheating bas**rd off. Absolute embarrassment to humanity, professional sport and human dignity.

If you go back in time then people like jack hodgson,syd bycroft brian makepeace didn't mess about when tackling,nearer the time shackell was a hard tackler,The answer to you chris black its not just Pepe over the last few years its got common place when you get caught in the face players act like they've been hit by mike tyson

I saw it too.
There was a story that Mr Pickles(the ref) said something out of turn to TC as he was leaving the pitch the player lashed out at him.

Glenn humphries was supposed to be the next big thing, looking at old programmes, what happened to him, was he not good enough to play higher up?, or was it injuries?.
Hardmen are getting less and less in the game. The art of defending isn't seen as an art any more, it's a dirty to word to be defensively strong. A lot of those who were seen as hardmen, could play a bit as well. Way before my time, but it sounds like Billy Bremner suffered a bit with that association.

Bremner could certainly play. He had an excellent footballing brain and a great selection of passes. But he could mix it up too. Legend.

Not my favourite but Ince could control a midfield, obviously no one better in recent years than Keane. Players with a pass in them but also a punch. Now all we are given is soft jessies made of spaghetti like Wilshire.

Yep, Cold Tuesday night with a shocking view of the game from the side of the ground. Amazing how we can remember vividly things that happened 30+ years ago but forget what we did yesterday.
