Quite a game this, played with passion, intensity and skill. Far better than the championship final yesterday.
Always rated Hammill too, hes far too good for them.
-
Hope they f**k it up. Kitsons.
-
Barnsley 3 1 up.
-
Deserve to win this. Quite the turnaround they had this season.
-
http://imgur.com/a/ijaaG. locals still arent happy
-
Don't like em, but the best side I saw at the keepmoat last season.
-

Yep, so did we.
-
Bottom of league in December, unbelievable Geoff!!
-
Good luck to them next season, they've worked hard for their success.
If we had worked as hard as them we would have stayed up as well.
-
Isgrove is a player we nearly signed on loan last year.
-
Im glad that the Dingles won today, it hurts me but im glad. I hope the powers that be feel my pain, and that will make them even more focused on what this club means to me and you. Up the mighty Rovers.
-
Someone get suicide watch rolled out for Frosty
-
Not just for frosty I work at royal mail in Barnsley past few weeks have been unbearable
-
Good luck to the Dingles, let them have their moment in the sun, there isn't much sun in Dingleland. Our time will come.
-
No slight on them, but like us it would be promoted then relegated. Too tough in Championship for clubs our size.

I have just handed over money won on BFC for Promo to Bluebell Wood. I said I would be happy if WE finished 1 place below them very early in the Season
I predict already they will NOT come down and a soon as I can get a bet on to that effect I will do and give the dough to TIA Greyhound Rescue
-
Well done to Barnsley they have brought in good young loan players to add to their own players, who were younger than ours. They put a good run together and then maintained it.
It won't be easy in the Championship unless they spend a bit of money.
No short term loans so like us any loans must come window to window. Now they are in the Championship their loanees could be used again as their parent clubs will be happy they are having Championship football.
-

Best side I saw at the Keepmoat as well.
Below us in the league at Christmas and now two divisions above us.
I won't state the bleeding obvious.
Good luck to them
-
My nightmare season. We go on loan to L2 and they go up. Have to doth my cap to them though, unreal turnaround. Congratulations to them.
NOW their hard work starts. RTID
-
Bet they couldn't wait to get their twelve fingers on that trophy this afternoon.
-
Certainly up there with Leicester for team of the year, from bottom in December to promoted is remarkable.
Nice to see teams have a good structure and policy for younger hunger players.
Just gutting we went opposite ways.
-
Deserved their success and should have money to spend once Stones is sold
-
they're a town like us...mainly downs. But after that turnaround bloody good luck to em

Great decision by our lot not to sign him. Never be a player Hammill. Whoever was running the rule over him in training, has the decision making of mr magoo!.
I wonder if things could have been different, if the management team had a brain cell between them, and had realised they had a cracking player, who they could have signed, if we could have been in opposite positions to barnsley?.
Trained with us for weeks, wasn't good enough apparently, f..king joke decision!.
Anyway well done Barnsley, it's always nice to see yorkshire clubs do well, excepting leeds of course, brilliant turnaround of a season, congratulations!.
-
Sammy, our club has a history of missed opportunities in bringing good players to the club

True, and it's very frustrating. You can't get everybody you want, but i couldn't believe when he had been released, then we had him training with us, i thought even our lot couldn't mess it up.
If people who work in football can't see, that Hammill is a top player at league one level, then they ought to pack the job in.
Two footed player, can go either side, can take a player on, quick, scores goals, physically well built for a winger, i don't know what was not to like!. Anyway it's gone now, but whoever made the decision, making decisions like that, your p45 shouldn't be far away.
-
We certainly have a hell of a lot of catching up to do with the rest of South Yorkshire now.

How do you know that We didnt want to sign him, but he wouldn't commit and when Barnsley came in he jumped at the chance
-
Rumour has it we tried to get him but Barnsley offered him more money.

Not really, one good season were back level with one or two of them. It's not that bad!
-

You can't compare us and Barnsley. They're a bigge The club than us and better equipped for the Championship
-
Barnsley obviously used the loan system better than others,15 players they've had on loan this season Rovers 14.must go down to either good contacts or good scouting, but there loanees seem to fit into the system they want to play, the Rovers loanees seem to be here to learn their trade and get experience, few exceptions but overall the dealings in loan players have been poor by the Rovers

Or their loanees didn't get injured - Grant, Matteoni (Sp?) and Anderson to name but 3 great loanees who were excellent for us but picked up injuries.
-
Injuries happen IDM but the question remains would they would have stayed if it hadn't happened, keshi I doubt clubs were looking.but injuries are part and parcel im afraid,i still thing if jones had not got injured the Rovers wouldn't have been relegated that season
-
Keshi was on a season long loan, so yes he would have stayed

BBC did well showing Dingle celebrations and including Owls fans

Yes that was funny ... as was the Breakfast bloke discussing Hull v Owls who said something like "you would probably be really really disappointed if you were a fan of one of these Teams looking forward to the chance of going to Man City Man U Arsenal etc and then finding you have to go instead to errr um um err with all due respect to them Rotherham for instance"
TLOR eh ?
-
was good to see Barnsley winning the play-off final... ;)
-
Barnsley have a knack for finding decent talent, like Scunny. Work to do for Rovers in this area.
-

I like that and well done getting 6/1 as well

was back in march to be fair - bookies probably fancied them to finish outside top 6. As soon as season finished odds dropped dramatically as they were the form team going in to play-offs.
-
I only managed 9/2 for Promo which was worse on both counts when you look at it ! Perhaps as you specified "Play offs" they would have given you bigger odds AND presumably if they had got Auto promo they would not have paid you ?
