Hart
Walker Cahill Smalling Rose
Milner Llalana Ali Sterling
Rooney
Kane
not my choice but I think he will pick this team I would play Dyer instead of Sterling
-
Didn't think Kieron or Bruce were in the squad?!
-
Hart
Clyne Cahill Smalling Rose
Wilshere Dier
Sterling Alli Rooney
Kane
-
He he will pick Walker over Clyne won't he? Apart from that it's spot on.
-
I think Walker v Clyne is very much a toss of a coin so I wouldn't be surprised if it's Walker.
My big uncertainty is the formation. He might use the same personnel in a diamond.
-
I don't think he will play a diamond. He's the most negative man on the planet, no way is he playing two out and out front men.
-
RB I think Walker will be right back.
He will not play 4231 which I believe we should.
Don't like Sterling but without Welbeck I think he may go for those players yet in a different formation.
Tactically I hope the manager gets it right.

Hart
Clynne-Smalling -Cahill-Rose
Dier
Wilshere-Ali
Kane Rooney Vardy
-
No point in playing Vardy unless it is central.

I agree but I think he's going to play him wide.

Same team but I think he'll go with Henderson instead of Llalana. Walker/Clyne is also a coin toss but I hope he goes with Walker.
-
All I hope is that he plays players where they should. If that means leaving a player out who has a strong case to play then so be it. I'd rather only see Alli and Vardy for the last 20 minutes in their right positions as opposed to from the start in left midfield and right wing.
I'd play:
Hart
Walker
Smalling
Cahill
Rose
Dier
Wilshere
Rooney
Alli
Kane
Vardy
Diamond with Alli at 10 and Rooney playing deeper. However I think it will be the team that TRB suggested, with Walker in for Clyne. I think Clyne is a slightly better player but I like the fact there is an understanding between Walker, Rose and Dier in terms of when to drop deep or bomb on.
-
Kane and Vardy upfront with Rooney in behind is the best attacking line-up we've got. Takes so much of the pressure off Rooney. Only thing that is certain is that Milner will start.

This.

What do you do with Alli if you go with that? Bench? Wasted playing deeper?
-
I don't think he will play a diamond. He's the most negative man on the planet, no way is he playing two out and out front men.
If he plays a diamond he will still use Rooney deeper than Kane. I actually think he'll go 4-2-3-1. Vardy is there as an alternative to Kane or to go 4-4-2 if we need to chase it.
-
Just hope Kane's not taking set pieces he should be in the box

I don't think you'll be far wrong there. Though he might play Wilshere instead of Lallana which would then move Rooney higher up.
Personally I would play Stones ahead of Cahill, but I don't see that happening.
I'd also like to see Vardy and Kane together upfront, but I don't see that happening either.
-
I would probably prefer Clyne to Walker but if Walker plays as well as the last friendly, he'll be fine.
Keep the young guns who are mobile but please, please, no Milner.
-
Not got a problem with Milner, lacks pace but has the ability to create a yard of space to put a decent ball in the box
-
Hart
Smalling Cahill
Walker Rose
Henderson
Lallana Alli Wilshere
Rooney
Kane
If i was picking it
Hart
Smalling Stones
Walker Rose
Dier Wilshere
Alli Rooney Sturridge
Kane
Kane won't be taking any set pieces, he didn't want to show the ones they had worked on!. Everybody thinks Dier has his spot in front of the defence, i think he will go with Henderson unfortunately. Because he has seen him in tournament football, he isn't a manager that takes many chances.
Wilshere i feel he thinks is fit, and he didn't want to lose him to injury, so he has barely played because his position is decided. Lallana he see's as a safe selection that adds balance, half winger, half midfielder.
He gave you a good idea in the friendlies, that vardy starts as a sub, when he said ''Coming from where he has in his career, he will just be happy to be here, and involved'', he see's him as an impact sub.
He is a cautious man by nature he will stick to a core of those who have already played in a tournament for him. Picking Alli at all is a walk on the wild side for him. If he has horlicks instead of tea before going to bed, he feels like he is living dangerously, milner is the son he should have had, boring and a robot!.
Almost totally wrong on that, hang my head in shame.

From the media this morning it's looking like the side above will be Roy's choice.
I go along with Jonathan on the Stones and Wilshire moving Rooney to the front three.
If he did start Kane and Vardy then Ali should be the head of the diamond.
I just hope Boring Roy and his staff don't get it wrong but I fear they will.
