Title: Alicante Accomodation

Booked flights with Ryanair for 7 days in Alicante WC 18th July.

Can anyone recommend some sites or cheap accommodation self-catering?

If you're after cheap, I'd give Airbnb a go. Done it plenty of times with no bother.

My parents live out there, so I usually take the family out to see them once/twice a year.  We stay here:

Although it's on a golf course, the apartments are good, it has a restaurant on site.  Compared to other hotels in Alicante, this is good value.  It is off the beaten track, so you'd need to hire a car

Otherwise, there is an urbanisation just south of Alicante called Gran Alacant.  There are a lot of people there who rent their places out for holiday lets.  Most will have access to a communal pool.  In some parts you can walk to the beach, it's not a short walk though, and coming back it's uphill!!  Google "gran alacant holiday rentals" and loads of sites come up
