A game I used to play in my younger days (BobG may remember) is giving new meanings to collective nouns. The only rule is that the word used must actually be a collective noun already. I call the game "A punnet of collective nouns"
A few to start you off:
A bale of convicts
A bed of whores
A brace of orthodontists
A chain of cyclists
A clutch of motorists
A copse of policemen
A den of Millwall supporters
A flush of toilets
A list of ships
An over of maidens
A prial of detectives
A queue of snooker players
A score of musicians
A set of concrete-mixers
It is also allowed to use the indefinite article within the pun, e,g,
A wake of Coffee-drinkers
All yours Bentley Bullet folks.....
-
A promise of politicians
A caravan of gypsies
A bunch of idiots
A bench of substitutes
A cadge of tight gits
A destruction of demolition workers
-
A snatch of gynocologists.
A rattle of heroin addicts.
A binge of alcoholics.
A spark of pyromaniacs.
A bottle of England footballers.
A complete bunch of tossers of Labour MP's who refuse to accept that Jeremy Corbyn is their rightful leader.
