Has sunk to a new low. Who else has for the first time in their life got the horn over Princess Victoria?

I think the actress playing Victoria is a real stunner, unlike the real thing. Its like casting Tom Cruise to play the lead in the Sid James story.

Jenna Louise Coleman isn't it?

Only going on what has been written by historians, but it was said that Victoria was a beautiful and vivacious young woman. The rather dour old matriarch we have come to know was a product of years of duty, the rigours of childbirth and the loss of her beloved husband. I believe she never dressed in anything but black after Albert's death.
It may be an example of what I call "Elvis Presley Syndrome," where the popular image is of a person in their declining years. If you see an Elvis impersonator, odds are he will be a bloke with shades, a paunch and a rhinestone suit. The Viva Las Vegas Elvis, not the hip-swinging young dude who revolutionised blues music. We see the twilight Elvis, turning out formulaic pap like "Way Down." Not the young genius who sang that musical masterpiece "Heartbreak Hotel" or did great rock 'n' roll numbers like "Jailhouse Rock."

Well, given that she stopped being Princess Victoria when she was only 18...

BTW, are they using this as the theme tune?
