Never want Rovers to lose but we could really do without this joke of a competition, especially this season

So is there a game on tonight or what ?
-
Stats say no shots on target yet. thats got to be poor at any level.
-
Following on Twitter.. Both sides created a few but not many chances it appears...
-
So , technically, Yes , but then again - :s

Or brilliant defending
-
Rules state if it's a draw on 90 mins there will be a penalty shoot out with the winner gaining an extra point
-
Gooooooaaaaalllll

-
Good lad now hold on now dont need a draw
-
Attendance: 1,461 (337 away)
Disappointing that so many chose to attend this game rather than send a message to the EFL
-
2-0.... Get in.
-
Point taken but
well, it's somehing to do on a Tuesday night,
what the hell.
-
If we progress on the tournament crowds will pick up, especially if the u23 sides get knocked out..
Meanwhile a win is a win - will be 4 on the bounce and 5 unbeaten. That will be good for confidence in the squad..

85' GOAL. And it is two-nil to Rovers as Calder taps home a counter-attack! 0-1 #DRFC
-
337! Fair chance that might be highest away attendance tonight?
-
337 watching Rovers win, not a bad thing to do on a Tuesday evening

Although don't agree with U23 our subs have had a game and we've scored twice.
-
A decent opportunity for the other players to shine as well. Beestin sounds like a good find.
-
good for the team this ! :scarf: :scarf:
-
Another clean sheet another win lets keep going
-
3 tweets talk about the second goal and still show it as 0-1 before it's changed to 0-2.
-
I think that's how to best view this comp. Somewhere to get our subs/reserves/u21s some regular competitive football and let them try to force their way into the managers reckoning for the much more important league games.
Delighted for the Beast and for Calder too.
-
Good for the whole team. Gives some of the others a chance at a game and it sounds like the confidence will have improved!!
BUT... someone should have a word with Beestin and Calder. When did we start shooting from OUTSIDE of the box, and when did we counter attack, let alone score from one?!
-
Yes, winning is a good habit to have.
Although many of us chose to boycott the games we are still allowed to be happy with this outcome.
It also helps the fans to feel confident that the non regular players can do a job for us if called upon.
-
4 in 4 and unbeaten in 5 it's a good start but need to keep it going on Saturday

Well, i'm gutted, hound.
I predicted a loss on the PvO challenge. Bah! Me of little faith.....

Yeah, I bet you are !!

People can make their own choices, fair play to them.
-
Only two acadamy teams won tonight.

Top of the league (and having a laugh)

3. Rovers Academy did too!
-
Yep, Agreed
-
I don't know who to believe now! Look North just said "...not such good news for Doncaster Rovers, they were beaten 2:0 by Mansfield... all the other Yorkshire teams did well though.."
It's a conspiracy.
-
Ha, typical BBC.
I noticed also on the CH5 goal rush show that after showing the L2 goals they showed the league table after FOUR matches and us still in sixth place, not updated of course.

They can indeed - doesn't stop me having an opinion on what the potential impact of their choice may be.

Producer, editor and everyone else must have been asleep by that point. The graphic was correct and she still got it wrong!

I had radio Hallam on last Sunday and they had a quick run through of saturdays local football results, Donny had a fine 4-1 victory at the New York Stadium. Informed reporting at its best?

FYI man of the match poll is now up: http://www.drfc-vsc.co.uk/index.php?topic=258552
