Title: Collectivism won WWI and WWII not individualism

Anyone care to comment on this truth in the light of current ideology and dogma?

That's an interesting theory Sad - would you mind expanding on it?

I would argue that it was imperialism that started WWI and opposition to facist expansionism that started WWII.

I would also agree with Bob in his assertion and also add to it in that it was collectivism that helped the country not just win but recover from the aftershock of both wars too.

Hmm both of which we have opened Europe upto imo with the recent EU Referendum result . I would agree with that assertion entirely .
The geo- political circumstances today , much of which has come about by the collapse and now the rejuvenation of the Soviet Union, the untidy mess left behind by faded European empires and the rise of both in particular China and India leaves for a very complicatedifferent world . Allegiances shift almost daily that's why we have so much uncertainty and the sPentre of WW111 just around the corner.
