Another old Rovers video. A 1-0 win away at Hartlepool in 1996, some big players, Brabin (literally a big player), Jones, Moore, Schofield et al. Goal comes from the penalty spot. Expertly 'won' and finished by the legend Colin Cramb.

Some dodgy haircuts and even dodgier refereeing on display in that video. Wonderful miss by the Hartlepool player too!

Although it feels like yesterday, the standard of football looks like something from a totally different era. Cramb is still a legend though!

Cramb was a class above (albeit based on biased teenage memories). Despite his awkward looking style of running he could ghost past players and was as cool as you like in front of goal with right foot, left foot or head. Despite how the 90's finished for us, we certainly saw some decent players in the early-middle part of that decade.

Aye, had we not sold every decent prospect at the first opportunity we could've had a very strong team and actually won promotion instead of tailing off after October every bloody season!
Moore, Wilcox, Swailes, Brabin, Parrish, Lawrence, Jones and Cramb were all very good players supplemented by some decent pros like Suckling, Beasley, Schofield, Roche, Kirby et al.
