ok
so everyone (less Newport) have now played 29 matches 10 home 10 away
Just to point out to our doomsters
rovers have played away at Plymouth Portsmouth & Luton
and at home to Carlisle
so out of the ONLY 4 proper teams Rovers only have to play one away
meaning I can't see any other hard AWAY matches
yes you''ll say Cambridge & Wycombe - but not really me says
all rovers have to worry about is that "tub of Portsmouth cream"
-
Good point. We need to continue our good home form.

Do you think we'll get a big crowd?

No. Even if we need a win for promotion I'd doubt there'll be more than 6000 there.

I still don't see us falling out of the top 3 again all season.
One thing is for sure though: we need to bring some defenders in who can defend for next season
-
I would hardly call Plymouth a 'proper' team after seeing them today. I thought they were very average. A very dubious pen and a Xmas gift from Butler. I could fault us for not being a bit more agressive.
-
Apart from penalties and that worldie free kick we have only conceded goals from open play in two of the last five matches.
-
Who was your maths teacher Coleman?
-
Yeovil away is not a certainty
However, with us being 2 points off the top it's all in our hands. Win every game and we're champions

Who was your maths teacher Coleman?
Pies, i am not sure whether your question is aimed at CLH or myself, as in "who was your maths teacher, Coleman??"
-
Hound, it was for CLH. Apologies if I created confusion, I don't know you so can't work out how it could relate to you.

Yeovil,Barnet,Cambridge,Grimsby,Wycombe. All difficult & if Rovers are still flying high,ALL other teams will be doubling their efforts to get one over us. I'll be delighted if we're anywhere in the top 3 at season's end. Certainly not assuming we'll cruise to the title.

We are equally capable of making games easy or hard away from home. The stability we have at home we haven't quite created that away from home. We are too much in a rush at times to get the game won. Certain teams are capable our using our naive way of playing to take points from us.
Every team and game is different. Plymouth were the ideal team to start off solid against and win the midfield then the game. Against other teams our attacking play will blow sides away without needing to be as solid. It's the managers job to know which games he needs to alter things slightly.

Because your question followed my post about the goals we had conceded from open play.
I though it may have been addressing my calculations.
If you read it again then look at your question, if you add a comma just before the word "Coleman"
you will probably gist my drift.

Weren't we doing that Sammy and then gave a goal away?

I wasn't there as i put on another post. I was really basing it on overall performances where at times we've chased things. The Plymouth game went against us with the first goal because our game plan goes out of the window and we had to chase the game.
Plymouth was the ideal game to start solid the first goal threw any plans out of the window.
