Rovers have only played Stevenage 3 times in the Football League, resulting in 2 wins and a draw. The last meeting was a thrilling 4-3 win to Rovers just last month.
Boro have lost 4 of the last 6 matches but are proving to be successful on their travels, having won the last 6 league matches away from home.

Barnet 1 Plymouth 0

Funny lot this year Barnet. Fairly decent team until Mad Dog pushed off to Eastleigh taking half the team with him yet they still pop up with some good results. And they've just spent £100 grand on somebody too! I never thought I'd see that. I suspect nothing's changed about their financing because if it had, Mad Dog would surely have stayed. So £100K is quite impressive.

Bob, I suspect Barnet could not match the salary Eastleigh could offer, they are known as the MoneyBags of Non-League football.
-
when Paul Green was a young lad they offerered 10k for him derisable joke bid
bob sit down before you read this link
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3983694/Barnet-launch-club-record-offer-Omar-Bogle-Grimsby-star-setting-League-Two-alight.html
and I never thought i'd see rovers offer 1 million for a player
-
Carlisle one nil up on the Codheads
-
Yes Les. That's why I said I suspect nothing has changed in how Barnet are funded - which makes finding £100K for a transfer fee quite startling really.

We need to win this to open up that gap on Portsmouth before Thursday. Currently 5 points with them winning at the moment
-
Sounds as if their Goalie is playing a blinder. Surely, we can bag at least one of the chances we are getting.
-
According to the BBC we had 5 shots on target, hope we don't live to regret not putting one of those away.
-
Not sure that distraction of ex players was helpful.
At least we sound half decent in the first half, hopefully will push on from there. We do seem to have a stamina benefit over most teams, pacing the game well. I'd expect Williams to come on at some point - though I'd much prefer to see Alfie May :santa:
-
All our shots are going straight to their keeper - easy saves.. we should step up in the second half..
-
Thanks IDM, should be testing their goalie more.
-
Let's hope the 2nd half is more productive.
-
Carlisle one nil up on the Codheads
Bogle just made it 1:1
-
Ooooooo! Deflection onto their crossbar!
-
Good news, all we need is a Rovers goal, to go back on top.
-
Come on you Reds.....
-
Ooooooo! Deflection onto their crossbar!
We seem to be going through a phase of hitting the woodwork a lot in the past few games
-
Get nowt for hitting woodwork, we need to hit the back of their net, that's where it counts.
-
Who calls their little kid Kgosi Ntlhe? Commentator's nightmare.
-
Maybe Fergie needs to make a change or two.
-
Time to roll the dice....
-
Newport winning away at Wycombe - definitely good news.
-
I suppose if we're having our obligatory bad spell, getting draws would be pretty good. But it's damn frustrating even so!

Good, I hate Notts C.

Carlisle losing 2-1, come on Rovers bloody he'll, can go back top with a win
-
I'd give May a run out, see what the lad can do.
-
Couldn't hurt too much. Might frighten him a bit though.

Doesn't seem the type who'd be frightened.

Come on Donny :scarf:
-
A bit worrying, us starting to get "nil" results. Been spoilt of late.
-
Still time here...

shame
-
I think May would grab the opportunity and play without fear.
-
I never did like Stevenage. Not since that time in the Conference when their no good striker Alford that we signed on after scored against us at their place and incited a near riot. And today is just reinforcing my dislike...
Bob

Bob
You mean Carl Alford who was later to be such a star for us after we paid Stevenage 50K for him?
He scored his only goal for us the Sheffield County Cup final I believe........
-
I do indeed Dutch. Actually, he scored a decent goal against us at their place but the behaviour afterwards wasn't very clever.
Wonder what he's doing now....!
Bob
-
Nervy moments
-
Barnet have held on so we're top if we can see it out. Is that a good thing though, have we won whilst top of the league this season?
-
We're top of the league
We're top of the lea-ee-eague
We're Donny Rovers
We're top of the league!
Thankyou Barnet, Thankyou Grimsby, Thankyou F. Franks!

Road testing Burger Bars??
-
Excellent! :scarf:
Could have done with a couple of goals, but that will do. Almost perfect results around us too - just Luton drawing at Portsmouth needed for the jackpot.
-
Excellent win made even more sweet with the others losing...
-
Get in.
-
Apparently Alford has just passed his EUFA B license and wants to be a coach....

Upgraded from being a carthorse?

Good win, move onto Pompey Thursday, that will be a tough game, though winnable.
-
Lol! Very good Brizzle!
Cheers
Bob

Not the best game you'll ever se at the KMS, but a win is a win and 3 more points
COYR
-
I think we played, or at least tried to play, some great stuff today.. Much of it didn't come off, yet again another hard fought patient win and another clean sheets..
The last 4 games haven't been great, but we won 10 points from 12...
