And a great advert for us.
Hopefully will encourage some of the Stay aways back.

I couldn't agree more, to this post!

what that his account has been hacked or it was a good game??

DIdn't think we were that great overall tonight, but did well in both boxes. Very good result.
-
Far better when Williams came on
-
IMHO there were two fouls given against Williams that were wrong.
One was the shoulder charge against Bennett, the second was when their CB went through him.

Both very strange decisions.

I thought the referee was good in the first half but he lost the plot in the second half. The two fouls given against Williams were unbelievable especially the second one when Burgess came straight through the back of him.
-
I always thought we looked comfortable when they had the ball.
Their goal came from a bad ball on halfway but otherwise we defended really well.
-
We were awful in the first half. Better second but way off the best we've played.
-
It seemed to affect Williams' confidence, understandably.

I could listen to fergie all day, he does a great interview, doesn't bullshit or just give clichés and soundbites. You can tell that he's learned from the master, he's ultra positive about the team, that in itself breeds Confidence. Ross needs a massive arm round the shoulder right now, and he's just done that publicly. Let's hope he rises to the challenge.

Enjoyed watching Rovers WIN on Sky. Thought we started brightly, got the goal, then let them dominate us for the last 20 minutes of the first half. Soft goal from a mistake but the lad took it well. Second half, we were solid. Two very good goals and comfortable winners overall. Portsmouth are a good team so a very important win, psychologically as well as literally.
What really stood out is the chasing down we do. The team works hard - have not seen a Rovers team do that since Penney's side. Add to that the passing and movement at times was reminiscent of SOD's team. Best of both worlds? Also, we have a manager who makes the right changes. He reads the game well and knows who on the bench will make what difference. He has a plan B, which is something a lot of our previous managers lacked. You could say some of them lacked a Plan A at times..
Very impressive showing if I'm honest as an exile seeing the team live for the first time this season.

PDX, I think we had a midfield more recently that harried players and won the ball back, the one which included Green, Stock and Wellens.
-
I think Fergie got it tactically spot on tonight. I didn't expect him to put Williams on as soon as he did. That's having confidence in the game plan and having confidence in the players.
-
Frosty, congrats on 10 years of ST holding. Saw your name on the wall tonight. Mine's on there too.

I thought Doyle was their best player, he was the only one of theirs trying to control things in the middle.
