Thanks, East coast is a big plan for me. Sandsend/ Whitby /Robin hoods bay/ Scarborough etc. I have not been back for 4 years now, just looking at images on google. fantastic place we are from. I now really appreciate it. Mind you Mindanao in the Philippians my wife's home is stunning.

Thanks, so the Polar Bears arrived? this was only in the planning when i left. The Wildlife park is very good. I remember they do a good Halloween night, shit myself when the guy with the chainsaw came running out of the woods.

Last time I was at Sandsend they were engaged in a serious remodelling of the Coast Road / Beach and sea defences and it was of course looking a right mess but may have concluded now !

If your going up towards Whitby then going a little further up the coast there is always Runswick Bay and Staithes which are worth a visit.

Nah, Quayside, just down the road is better
-
Yes at Quayside there is not such a big queue but watch those thieving seagulls dive bombing.. Also Robin Hood's Bay ...Hope you are still fit for that pigging hill, but at least at the top on the way back up there is a place for a cuppa, called in several times last summer and will this summer, Brilliant scenery for walking
-
Hawoths nice and the Worth Valley railway.

Trenchers without doubt

The Magpie was always my favourite but since I was introduced to The Fishermans Wife restaurant overlooking the sea I haven't returned to the Magpie.

Make sure you take her to Yorkshire sculpture park too

Who needs a Passport when we have all this on our doorstep, and a ride on the Whitby to PIckering Steam Engines ooooh "Heartbeat and all that". AS it came close to my passport expiring last October I considered all of this in Yorkshire and nearby and decided not to renew it. There is plenty here to enjoy and as the weather is now universal there is nothing to be gained by going abroad to sit in the rain...

Quite right Bally. But due to my location sitting in the rain would be total bliss, we have had maybe 2 hours max since the end of last February!!!

I will have a word upstairs with the Big Guy next Sunday and see if he can help :cold: :cold: :cold: :cold: :cold:
