How many time did we get to the Edge of the area and not shoot!! Tried a silly pass and lost the ball! Gggrrrr!!!!
-
Hard to shoot through a defenders body.
-
It just didn't quite happen today. Ball bobbling about like a bar of soap, players slipping at the wrong time, dillydallying instead of getting a shot off and a ref who was poor.
Not worried, move on.
-
had an off day, but still the better side by miles, roll on to the next game.
-
Agreed with all above. Also felt taking Williams off was the wrong call.

Only in terms of his confidence.
I thought he was awful.
-
Williams was rubbish today, should have been hooked earlier in my opinion.
-
Williams is still too preoccupied with looking for the free kick or penalty at every opportunity, he needs to pack it in.

Agreed, he never goes in for a challenge with any conviction, even when he's favourite for the ball, always seems to look for the foul first, so frustrating. On todays showing he will struggle to end his barren spell.
-
Williams wasn't in the game. Someone behind me said 'he does all his work off the the ball'. Yeah, well, kind of but eventually we need people on the ball to score goals, to move it about quicker.
Mandeville came on and was linking play up better. For some reason he was very wide at times though.
-
He's been playing well without any luck recently Williams. If he comes into the goals between now and the end of the season it will give us a final push over the line. You can't argue his goal scoring pedigree, just on a bad run since his injury.
-
All in all, I also thought we were unlucky not to win. We've had two cleared off the line in the first half and at least two clear headers (Rowe then Houghton) in front of goal in the 2nd.
-
I always expected it to happen today. Just hope we can now go on a winning run again.

Thought he was hard done by. Movement was good today and had some clear chances in the box but the ball wasn't fed to him.

Me neither !

That - plus didn't he bring out a great save by their keeper at the near post just before half time?
Some of our shooting chances were on the player's wrong foot, and some were shot under par.. By far from our worst performance and on another day with the same amount of similar chances we can (and have) scored 3 or 4..
-
It takes him half an hour to get the ball under control.
-
Just one of those days. In a strange way I'd rather we had an off-day against lower opposition than against one of our promotion rivals, so I really didn't feel too disappointed leaving the KM tonight.
Onwards and upwards.... we didn't lose!

Your opening sentence in your 2nd paragraph, how sad these days that professional footballers can have a wrong foot
-
We had some great chances in the first half and either scuffed the shot or hit it straight at their keeper. They need to do some training drills on hitting the corners of the goal.

I keep seeing this criticism of him but I don't feel it's wholly fair, at one stage in the first he controlled a long pass out on the right hand side impeccably and brought it away from a defender.
-
I thought it was very similar to early in the season performances-plenty of chances just not putting them away. Give credit to Morecambe many sides have been here and got nothing they battled for the point they got.
We were behind in the game somehow but got the equaliser the winner just wouldn't go in. The point we got might be important you never know.

Yes it was just one of those days. I felt we did well from the off but we the crowd seem to think it was only a matter of time till we a ) scored and b) went on to win. For me it felt a bit flat and much like the Scunny Boxing Day game where we ALL expected a win !
After the disallowed goal - (ours) we fell away intensity wise but again after a deserved equaliser (even though we were not at full throttle) I fell into the trap of thinking oh well - not long till we get the winner and on another day we probably would have - and on yet another day we would have dismantled them altogether.
Would have been nice to see the Keeper running flat out and getting the ball back from Goal Kicks in 10 seconds rather than one minute each time
