I have again failed to use my Wetherspoons Vouchers and so have 10 of them left and only a few days to use them (which I wont)
If any Forum reader IS a Member of CAMRA and want the Vouchers please PM me before 1300 today and I will meet you before game and hand them over - rather than "waste" them
-
I gave mine away on Friday as well Wolfy.

Damn ... when I saw I had a reply and saw it was you I was pleased as I was sure you would be saying "yes"
Trouble at the moment I am drinking less and majoring on "quality" so I only tend to go in Wetherspoons now and again and when I do its more often that not for food. Of course you usually get a free beer them so dont use the Vouchers.

I always have some to give away.
My local usually has five draught beers on but it isn't a Weatherspoons and I rarely drink in Bradford city centre.
-
Unless Iam reading this wrong but Witherspoons had to be the worst model for a pub ever .
I sooner pay the extra and drink in a propper pub with life soul and character ,and some where to put your duke box money.
Last time I was in a Witherspoons the policy was not to stand at the bar ,get served then move on.
Ok it might be because pub is busy but that takes away the customer bar staff relationship.
When was the last time you was in a Witherspoons and bar staff said 'hello ' of 'thank you and plaese come back again'

Weatherspoons might not be as good as a local but you can normally get a good choice of hand pulled and it is usually kept well.
I can take or leave them which is why I usually have vouchers left.
-
What are the vouchers all about and how do you get them .
-
All Camra members get vouchers for 50p off a pint of draught beer or cider. It is £20 worth and each sheet of ten is valid for 3 months but they aren't valid in December.
It just about covers your membership fee.

Heres the advert
http://www.camra.org.uk/benefits
So people below 60 pay £24 and straight away get £20 in Wetherspoons Vouchers. However if you are over £60 it cost just £17 so you are £3 up on the deal
In addition you get free entry to a lot of events (or discounted entrance) and also get the discounts shown on the advert for Holidays and other things. Book one holiday as I did last year for £960 for a fortnight and get - yes you guessed £96 discount
Its a no brainer if you like Wetherspoons or Holidays with the people shown
