Title: Long running script error - DROS
Post by: Donnywolf on March 27, 2017, 09:22:07 am
Does anyone have this issue when going on DROS ? My PC is relatively new and apart from this issue has no bugs or niggles like the one I got rid of did have.

If yes then I will live with it

If nobody else has this problem any suggestions please on how can I get rid of it pls?

I get three choices to either Stop - Continue - or Debug and if I select Stop or Continue the "fault" comes back and I have to make the same choice again and again maybe pressing Stop 3 or 4 times each visit

If I select debug I get a "console" displayed and tbh I have no idea what it means and what to press

Cheers

Its a Shockwave issue isn't it? Depends on which browser you're using as well I believe.

Are you using Firefox?

Yes Firefox but ...

...  MSN was the default one I think  - and it is always popping up asking me to make it that again.

It's a common fault with Firefox's built in debugger.

Other people might object but I'd recommend Google Chrome. By far the quickest and most secure browser today and it's plugins work with most components on websites older and new.

I've got the same problem Sammy. It started about a week ago roughly. It's intermittent though.  Works a bit and fails a lot basically.

Probably best browser is Google Chrome. The reason you are being bothered by the installed browser is because it was loaded into your computer at birth and until you remove it from your programmes after you instal another browser you will always have it. Come on JT you can do it you know it makes sense. errrr well I think it does.

Instal Google Chrome using one of the other Browsers and once it is up and running you can uninstall  the other two, it just stops them fighting each other.

No keep it, as you say it is running in windows, you can unpin icon from toolbar, so it is there but not visible then if you need it again it is easy to get back in view.

I don't think you can unstall IE. It's baked into windows.

Thats what I read somewhere today too.

Ironically I cant get Now TV on my PC as Microsoft Edge and Firefox wont let it play BUT if I install IE it will let me watch it ...
