From what I gather the club have had two record days of season ticket sales, with the DNA+ season ticket showing up very strongly. On the first day alone sales were 4x what they were this time last season. Keep it up.
-
Good youngsters prices and people returning who stopped being season ticket holders during the Dickov years.
-
Handed over £700 yesterday for me & my lad , plus a DNA bolt on thingy . Great value by the club , :rtid:
-
Great news about ST sales so far.
Purchased mine yesterday and my grandsons first ST. The latter cost me £28.50.
Costs 1.23 a match. This is unbelievable value for money and will ensure the next generation of our family gets to know what it's like to follow a proper footy team.
Well done Donny Rovers.
-
Good to hear Martin. Can't keep it up though as can only renew once! 😃
All very positive. My only observation about the bolt on thing is it's either all or nothing.
Say I'm interested in buying shirt and car park but not Dons, it would be better if on the online renewal, it gave you the options to add the items separately into your shopping basket (i.e the more you add, the greater the cross discount)
I don't suppose the club are going to release the numbers sold to date?
-
The fact is that this club has a lot of other well supported clubs within easy travelling distance both this side of the pennines and even Manchester and Liverpool for supporters who cannot stand watching their side losing.
The club are doing their best both on and off the field to increase revenues,a very well done to them.
It is great to see better ticket sales at the K.M.lets hope it continues throughout the preseason and we get better support from the local community.
-
I've bought my lad a season ticket along with mine, I doubt he will go very much as he isn't even 4 until October but I thought for £28.50 it was worth getting him on the system and he might surprise me and go to a few games.
I've just gone for the basic membership as I walk or bike to the ground, don't buy a programme, don't buy a shirt and don't like rugby so the bolt on is a bit pointless for me! I can see how it would appeal to a lot of people though.
-
But you do get a DNA card with your season ticket. I am right in this aren't I?

Yes you are.
-

Yes you do. They said available July time. It's well good value and hopefully the club will be rewarded with increased sales. It seems quite a few will be tempted back which is good. They just need to actually market it properly.
-
Thank god for that. I was going to have to get the moose another birthday present if not :)
-
Told well over 500 in first two days while renewing 3 this morning, and people were lined up behind me.
Also the add on scheme was going very well.
-
How many did we sell this season?
-
Still got to get mine yet.
Working in hull till late through the week.
Try on Sat/Sun.
-
Can I ask what the DNA card is and what you get with one.
-
Can I ask what the DNA card is and what you get with one.
It is going to be a bit like the Purple Voucher book - discounts at restaurants/attractions etc

Because I'm not intersted in going to the Dons I asked if I could trade the Dons ticket for Cup and friendly game car parking, I was told no, it's all or nothing, so I'll have a Dons ticket that will never get used. The Cup and friendly car parking extra doesn't seem to be available this year
-
Do you have any friends who might be interested in going to the Dons, Filo?
Because I live away from Donny I won't get the chance to go to see the Dons very often, but I still think it's a nice thing to have.

I don't think that you would.😉

Really?
-
My dad has renewed his today and also rang to say he's got me one as well, so as a direct result of this new DNA system I'm back as an ST holder after a few years without one. Fair play to the club as this is pobably the best ticketing promotion in a very long time.
-
This is a good deal for the Belles and Dons also.

Lad next door but one said he might have it, sorry mate
-
Does anyone know if the dons season ticket is for this season or next as they have allready started the season a few weeks ago.
-
I'm guessing but the combination of pre-paid STs/memberships etc totalled around or just shy of 4000 for this season.
For next season, expanding to around 5000 must be considered very positive. Of course, the ratio of juniors might be quite high but I'm sure we all hope the young adult increase significantly as this is the group that is least represented.
On top of that, if we regain more lapsed ST holders then, we're definitely on the up and revenues can make a difference.
I hope the DNA scheme kicks off and we all try to use the discounts/offers as often as possible as this can only attract more participants and organisations to sign up, particularly locally based businesses. Anything that can help the local economy must be a good thing.
-

That's a good question. I have the feeling we are talking next season, ie 2018. I don't believe the DNA cards will be issued till July, by which time the Dons' regular season will be almost over.
-
Where is Mr Frost I'd like to hear his thoughts
It's all relative unless we know how many are renewals and how many are new sales.
-
Ahh Mr Frost, more bile coming our way.Tin hats in order.
Are you ever going to come up with an idea that will make the club some money?or just continue to sit back and criticise the people who do their best for the club.
-
£11.73 per game in West stand Cat A for me, as an over 60. It's a no brainer.

Yep ... its the same for me 11.73 ... bung on Half Way with some great Seat Buddies around me. There is only one annoying gobby, Ref berating git anywhere in earshot ....

I've offered plenty of ideas both on here and to the club. The only person ever to get back to me from the club was Ryan Murrant who was extremely receptive.
-
But fairly useless at actually getting anything done. The guy was a clown
-
To be fair it's not really his job to do that I would think people get paid 2
-
Mr Frost I put ideas forward myself at pre-season supporters meetings, some have been acted on and Gavin has given me an update when asked about them.
Charging companies around the K.M.for car parking during office hours and putting extra seats outside the bar areas being the most successful.
Dont try and tell me that the club are not open to supporters ideas,or that they fall on deaf ears.
I would also go with a properly run and organised overnight lorry park if sufficient space could be found around the ground, probably where the away buses park if possible.

Can you pay for a season ticket by direct debit or is it cash upfront

Just to correct everyone on this thread.

Yep, but in all honesty after the GEnny got nicked in the dark, I would suggest a lit area or some lorries could find hey have no diesel come morn

Have a look through my posts

You don't have an executive summary? Or some bullet points?
If you post them again perhaps someone from the Club can take a second look at them.
-

I paid with a credit card today and received my discount.
-
Mine and Little girls done (after an absence of a few years and probably will still not be able to get to Tuesday matches.) If it gets cold again she does not like but hey ho.
-

Yes you can pay by DD. Don't know how many payments though
-

I think you have to enquire direct. It should be a big selling point IMO
-
Bought my lad one today, he was bouncing around the house when I told him. It'll mean we'll try and get up for more games than we've managed this season. I'll make do with the £10 membership. :scarf:
-
Can you pay for the bolt one without getting a season ticket?. Circumstances mean that it's just not vfm to get a season ticket but I could justify the bolt on.
The bits I've read about the scheme on this do not appear v clear
Thanks in advance
-
My understanding is yes you can. This would be a Bronze + membership.
-
over 1500 sold in the first 3 days now that's good
-
http://www.doncasterroversfc.co.uk/news/article/2016-17/a-new-high-for-memberships-3648802.aspx
Bloody hell, and here was me thinking that buying early I might have a chance of winning something if they did some sort of reward competition :)
I can see now why they've scrapped the penalty thing. We'd have more people turning up than for an EFL Cup game!
-

I must admit, that is impressive
-
Very good. Would like to see us get over the 5k mark again.

It's 6 payments

Does the £150 bolt add on include free parking for the rugby as well or just the football
-
+1
-
Gonna do mine at the weekend, great numbers sold so far. Does anyone know how many season ticket holders we have this season
-
I hope they go as well today and the rest of the week. Now that would be something to celebrate.

Or three!

When I went to renew the other day the 'all or nothing' option was mentioned to which I replied that it wasn't made clear online.
However paid up even though I didn't want the Rugby ticket, Programme, Half time draw ticket(but would be okay to have a chance of winning) and shirt (but could get one for grandson). I raised the issue of Friendly and Cup game parking and guess what, they hadn't thought about it yet! I suggested an option to 'part exchange' the other unwanted options and was asked to put it in writing to the Ticketing Manager, which I did via email and still waiting, watch this space!

Well I renewed today (My 60th in a row) plus one new one and 2 kids.

You must have asked the same as me, only I never got told to put it in writing

You must have been blessed with patience at birth. Well Done Indeed

I hope we have kept momentum up and they are still selling well.Especially now Mr Frost is impressed.

how old is a oap season ticket

60

how old is a oap season ticket
Mine better be brand new when I get it.
-
Pity that alliance discount can't be used even though it states 5% discount
-

If you are not 60 yet, you should wait or you will pay full price. Buy it when the date has dawned.
-
Not me. it's my dad he is 64.
-
Right in that case Go For It ha ha
-
When I first 'came of age' I bought mine before my 60th but they gave me seniors price as my birthday falls in closed season.
-
Renewed mine + 1 new

It says that the young supporters have taken advantage of the deal but in £ notes it could be a low figure if £30 is the starting price . I doubt 1500 @ £30 is going to run the club ! But it does show that the clubs are getting the message across now .

The pricing and 'bolt on' are a perfect fit both with the Community Strategy and that of growing the fan base of younger generation supporters who will provide the future bedrock of support.
-
Took advantage of it being payday and the last couple of days of the 5% discount to renew mine today.
-

Yes - mine is in July when I got to be a SENIOR- a big Boy but I waited just in case. (True Yorkshireman with my pennies ha )

As far as I know you have to be 60 before a certain date in August to qualify. My birthday is in October and I'm sure that I got my oap price the following August when I renewed again but nearly 61.
-
I've done mine. £269.80 for an old barsteward cat A West Stand.
It's a fair point that Mike has made: do we know how many of those sold up to now are new STH's?? Hopefully some are. Because if they're all already STH's it doesn't matter how quickly they sell we'll still only sell as many as this season. Was that just over 3000?
-
A fair few have already said on here that they have new ones, not renewals (me for one in addition to renewing mine) so fingers crossed

That was the same for myself, also October birthday.

There's no incentive for non ST holders to purchase tickets in the first week so we have to assume the majority will be renewals with some buying extras for family etc.
The 5% discount may not be a deal breaker for some so we'd hope there's every reason for all to renew (unless their working circumstances have changed etc.)
On face value if the first week doesn't generate 3000 plus can be considered a success?
There's probably going to be a steady uptake on sales which could be boosted once promotion is confirmed. The next boost normally comes when fixtures come out and folk start thinking about the football season again.
