Post by: bobjimwilly on April 22, 2017, 07:28:12 pm

No chance of Labour being in a coaltion. They are going to loose 100 seats. I know because I read it on here.

Corbyn's rebuffed the idea of a coalition. To me, in the current circumstances that smacks of both a dereliction of duty toward the country and of wilful blindness about the likely outcome of his refusal.

I know the coalityion would not deliver everything everybody wants. Tough shit. Politics has always been about finding ways to maximise what is possible. What it is not about is juvenile posturing that cuts off noses to spite faces. That one decision guarantees May a thumping great majority with which to deliver everything Corbyn and co. hate. What do these fools think they are achieving?

Bob a bit naive of you.
They always rebuff a coalition until it becomes available.

:):)

You're probably right Tommy! I hope so anyway.

But actually, such a coalition can only ever be weaker than one created by a collective judicious choosing of seats to contest. I suppose that was the point I was trying, and failing, to make!

Cheers

It makes a shit load more sense than the Con-dems ever did. Surely being able to enact a few policies is better than being able to do nothing? Or maybe Corbyn just likes being in opposition; a lot easier that actually having to lead a country

I hope not. That Kitson Sturgeon is about as progressive as Cameron.

I think I'm so anti May (Lol. Aunty May) that I wouldn't care if la Sturgeon was Beelzebub himself.

If it came out that Labour was the largest party but short of a majority there possibly would be a coalition. However I think what you are talking about is a pact whereby parties agree not to contest certain seats. I can't see that happening but it is probably the only way to unseat the current Government.

How would Labour voters vote or people in two minds if they knew a coalition was on the cards with the SNP.

The thought of that sturgeon stomping around parliament turns my stomach.

Sturgeon won't be in Parliament so there's not much chance of her stomping anywhere.

I wonder where Labour and the Lib Dems would be now had they formed a coalition rather than the fiasco of Cameron and Clegg.

No point getting into bed with SNP, Sturgeon's first red line would be another referendum.

Could and getting are two different worlds. But Kevin Keegan style ' I would love it if ' they did .

I don't belive what any polls say anymore ,and any fcuker that works
for whatever poll making company needs to be pistol whipped after the brexit and Clinton/trump so called predictions .

Question is if the cons did gain 8 9 10 11 or 12 seats north of the boarder would that be end of that orrible little GET sturgeon?
