No coincidence we have been poor since he got injured. Made us tick.
-
My player of the season, we have badly missed him
-
He was at the game and did the lap of honour with the team.
How p#$$ed off must he have been , coming all this way to watch that crap , do a lap of honour in an empty Stadium and possibly watching his medal going south.
-
I wouldn't be surprised if he went elsewhere next season
-
Best player we've had this season..
-

WEll he has been to two recent games and seen a draw and a loss, nobody saying he was there yesterday...He was going to be I understand or did I miss him

He did the lap of honour didn't he?
The Free Press certainly seemed to think he'd be there anyway.
-
He was there, sat in the West Stand
-
Yeah and he did the lap of honour too.
-
Could have played and still been better than some of our players
-
We have not replaced him in centre midfield in fact since taking Mason out of there we have gone backwards. McCullough just come back from injury but he has shown nothing in that position since his return. Yesterday we had two players there and Exeters midfield still got through to our defence.
-
I stand corrected I did not see.

McCulloch has been excellent as holding midfield player since he came back. And some of his long passing has been good to. Can't blame him for the slump.
-
McCullough is brilliant at holding onto the ball and not a bad passer either. At least his passes end up with the intended recipient unlike Mason, who reminds me of ATS.
-
Agreed that Mccullough had been excellent, however I would put Houghton ahead of him, I think they are similar but Houghton just seems to move things forward a bit quicker and not slow things down as much.
-
first half yesterday most of his passes went backwards

You can't pass forward if there's no options.

Well you could hoof it forward and give it to the opposition, which our fans seem to love from the amount they shout "Gerrit up!"
-
Mccolough has been excellent since returning from injury, he hardly gives the ball away and is arguably our best passer. The problem yesterday and last week after May went off injured, was we had zero movement up front. Marquis who has been outstanding up intill 4 games ago looks like he's allready on his holidays and Rowe copps, blair and grant have offered very little either. I just hope we don't carry this poor form and low confidence into the start of next season.
-
It was McCullough's 40-yard pass that put in Tommy Rowe for the goal yesterday. Luke is an outstanding prospect in that position but I'd love to see Houghton alongside him.

Sidewards tho

I must be watching different player yes he made one good pass yesterday forward the rest were backwards. He could not live with pace in midfield.
The second goal for Exeter started with a runner in midfield and where was the defensive McCullough to stop it at source.
-
Luke played lots of good balls forward, not just the one.
He plays almost everything early and virtually every pass finds his man.
Passing backwards isn't a problem either if it keeps possession and sometimes a backwards pass can produced another by the receiver that opens the opposition up.
Next season Luke will be one of our outstanding players.
He has been very good in his few appearances since coming back into the team.
-
I said that Luke had come back from injury and may be next season we will see him at his best. But if we can sign Jordon Houghton, and he is fit, he will be the leading light in our central midfield. He showed before his injury and the results when he was in that role, with the same players around him, were good.
Let's hope Luke has a good game on Saturday along with the rest of the players selected and we have a good performance and result that the team and manager deserve.

But he's no Jordan Houghton though!!!

-
If you read his post properly it says WE have been poor since he got injured...

The bit about fond memories of Donny worries me, not coming back? I for one hope he does, we never realky replaced him after his injury JMHO
