It's the same old story isn't it. "Benefactor" wants to get control of the council-owned ground for reasons known only to himself.

I'm guessing the land at Plainmoor must have some value to it but surely there are easier ways to get hold of development land than to take over a football club, spend years running it into the ground, pissing off thousands of people whilst trying to get leases and covenants annulled and eventually knocking down the stadium.
