Well done Emmerdale! :clapping: :clapping: :clapping: :clapping: :clapping: :clapping: :clapping: :clapping:

When I saw the title I thought that I had sleep walked into august and missed Yorkshire day .
So I ran across me room to throw my white rose Yorkshire t shirt on.
Not seen emmerdale since Seth and one of the brothers called joe and can't recall the other brother .was that the sugdens ?
So back on track what's happened in tonight's emmerdale that makes you shout Yorkshire Yorkshire ? Can't be cricket surely as that's only just started up again.

It was never same after Mr Wilks left...

Mr Wilks the landlord of the wool pack ,been kicking myself silly trying to recall his name .
Thanks for preventing me from self harming my self Herbert .

Mr Wilks was more the owner; the landlord/barman was Amos Brierley at that time, the feller with the mutton chops.

Christ my memory is shocking as your correct yet again Glynn about Amos was the chap in me head.

NOF, Emmerdale won the best British TV soap award.
I have a soft spot for the programme because I used to love it when it was Emmerdale Farm. The wife watches it now, and although it's not quite my cup of tea these days I don't mind it because it's often the only fresh air I get of an evening.
It's a Yorkshire institution that's provided us townies with a bit of much-needed countryside over the years..........Well, that and the memory of perving over Dolly Skillbeck.
Eh, it were gyand.

Not quite as good as winning the cricket but if it's good PR about Yorkshire it wil do for me.
When I worked on the door in the pub out here years back I would wear a blue t shirt with white rose and Yorkshire underneath it.
You can get them from the Doncaster tourist next to the Manson house in town centre .there wa £11 last time I got one.
Number of times a customer would pass me on way in and ask if.i was Leeds united > sorry sir doncaster rovers > but what premiership team do you support > I don't just Doncaster rovers who play in the conference before you ask.
Also non footballing customers would see the shirt and say 'pudding'
It took me back on how well known Yorkshire pudding is.
But the best part was that no fcuker could understand us when I spoke English to the customers due to me dialect been too strong.

It's on Front Runner (Freeview channel 91) at 17.30 today!
Health warning: this programme is so mid-1970s in production and fashion sense it could be harmful to your retinas!
-
How does it stand against that shunters and wheel tappers club comedy show
-
God, I don't think I've seen that since it was actually on!
I've watched a few of the Indoor League repeats and they are very much of their time, and very definitely at the start of televising things like darts. They switch from event to event all over the place so you've no idea where you are in that particular competition, the camera angles are not the best, and the commentary is...well, it's Sid Waddell when he was starting out!
I loved Indoor League because I grew up in pubs so it was great to see traditional (and some not so traditional) pub games getting tv coverage. Cheese skittles was a new one on me! But by God, does it creak now.

And this week Yorkshire beat that lot from over ills at cricket, nay hammered em

Take her to the Guiseley friendly BB.
They used to film at Esholt which is only two or three miles away.
She can walk around the village and have a pint in the Woolpack while you are watching the lads. Win win.

Since this is the YORKSHIRE thread I will add the YORKSHIRE WILDLIFE PARK to it.
They have got the 50 million quid go ahead for redevelopment after obtaining 150arces adjoining land.
It's come along way in 8 years since it first opened but is bigger allways better.
It's not as though it's cheap as chips to get in today with a couple of kids in tow.

That rings a bell from the ones I've seen but I couldn't swear to it - I've definitely seen table football with the national champions playing, could it be them?
