The above link is the first 10 mins of one of the best films made ever in my book .

The wanderers > Iam sure this film helped shaped my life from when I first ever saw it back when Betamax/VHS  video hire was the norm.

Anyone of a certian age would have watched the wanderers aswell as the warriors film as both were near enough about the same topic > close knitt gangs .

Most chums seem to like the warriors the most due to the mire violent scenes ,but not me as say that the wanderers pissed all over the warriors.

The music all the way through the wanderers film is outstanding  and that's the first thing that I noticed about this film bcak then.

In link above you will see a chase begin ,from a normall street scene where X amount of one Gand gives chase to smaller numbers of the wanderers another gang.

The music played through the chase is called ' the wipe out' and it backs up the chase footage and turns it into a spectacular scene.

Watch all the 10 mins so you get a grasp of the build up as I guarantee that you will not be dissapointed  especially if you like music.

If you have never seen the wanderers film ,dig it out via you tube and watch and listen to how real and proper music sounds, from artists like dion  the rubbetts etc etc .

Then get back to this post and leave a remark.

Clint Eastwood for as much as I love all his films ,he would not last 5 mins amongst the wanderers as Eastwood is tone deaf and has no reported grasp on music what so ever .

Clint Eastwood is 'reported' to be a Jazz aficionado, not to my taste but is claimed by many supposedly in the know to be the essence of cultured music.

Eastwood sang on the score to Paint Your Wagon.  Doubt he would have been given it to do if he was tone deaf.

Thanks for that fella ,they say you learn something new every day and you have proven me wrong on Eastwood .

I will have to change my stance on Eastwood > wanderers,  as he could not have been a wanderer because Eastwood had a beard .

Great Rock n Roll Swindle

I recall when my oldman first heard me playing friggin in the riggin ,which was a b side from whatever Pistols track.

He was not supposed to hear it but my younger brother grassed us up and I had to play infront of my mum and dad.

I knew it was bad swear words  etc etc and I never felt so un at ease when I clocked me mams eyes by time first riff had ended never mind the full record via 45 rpm .

It was stlylist if you get my jist

The baldies... Pricks with ears.. Lol... Went to the pictures to see it twice.. My ex and his mates all bought harrington jackets and dreamed of having a gang name.. Got the album on vinyl and CD. It's a fantastic soundtrack.

' Pricks with ears 'then turned to 'ears without pricks ' as the chase started .

By end of the chase it was ' leave the kid alone '

the game of elbow tit had me in stitches and the music track to part of it ' big girls don't cry ' is a classic.

I can't name one single poor track used on this film and could go on all night about how what track backed up what part of the film.

Even the opening ' hello hello hello ' that is used in the opening film sub titles is used in the film later on in the elbow tit scene.

I don't think there is any film out there that has used back tracking music sto such a great extent of the wanderers .

Like I said most people went or the warriors for it s amount pure
violence ,I must have been the only lad that saw throu the trees and opted for wanderers and when pointed out that the music was the reason ,I was laughed down .
