With Van Veen and Madden on for the full 90, our young lads who finished the game should regard this as a good result.

Their confidence can only grow with games like this. It might not be a good competition in it's present form but we are making good use of it.

Sounds like we are making the best of what is put in front of us could see the competition being scrapped with Harvey blaming fans for not getting behind the new format.

Yes I hate what the competition is now but wouldn’t mind winning it another cup and prize money always welcome

A great outcome for the lads.
Marco must be one of the best pen savers around.

FT 1-1 Pens for the extra point to decide who gets the home draw
i would have thought we would be away as we drew so both finish on 7 points unles it goes on results against each other inc pens rather than goal difference

Tonight’s side was a young side and was even younger by the end of the game after Williams, Baudry and Alcock came off. A good result, but some crap pens from both sides!

You are probably right DonnieVic. I had actually forgotten that Scunthorpe had won both earlier games so we both ended on 7 points - my mistake.

That is the thing about this competition, it is so easy to understand the rules.
