A pity that the England game is on T.V. which will probably keep the crowd down on the night.
It is another game to see if the youngsters are progressing and to see the level other clubs are at.I am going down to watch them myself and will record the T.V.games.
I hope a few others get down the lads deserve our support.

I'm going , will still get back in time to see the 2nd half of England game.
-
I'm going, I feel the lads will get a result tonight.
-
Hopefully the lads get a good result and set up an away day at West Ham, be a great experience for them getting a game at the Olympic Stadium (i'm presuming WHam dont have a Reserve Stadium).
-
Think they play here:
The West Ham Under-18s play in the U18 Premier League South. Home games are staged at Little Heath, Hainault Road in Romford, Essex

Liam Hoden is live tweeting.
We seem to be getting a little closer.

Just back in....lost 2..0..For me Blackpool the better side on the night, thought we did better in the second half when we went to three at back, admittedly chasing the game.
-
I agree with that summary,Bkackpool looked the better team, although we played better in the second half.
Amos had a good game and our goalkeeper also played and handled well.
Fletcher and our mid field players were outplayed by the Blackpool half backs who were stronger and more game savvy, and the Blackpool wide men caused us trouble all the game.
One thing I can say in the Rovers favour is that they never gave up trying to play football, but they were second best to a decent side on the night.
-
We didn't turn up until the second half, by which time it was too late. Must have had an almighty telling off at half time, because they were in there a lot longer than Blackpool. Their 7 and 8 gave us the run-around, but some of our players were well off being at their best.
Another learning curve for the young lads.
-
Agree with you, Alan.
A learning curve is exactly what it is and all part of their development.
-
I thought we played the better football and had the lions share of possession all night , without actually creating many chances.
Their goals were a penalty (nailed on) and a goal from a corner while we we're a man down getting treatment.
Their little Right winger #7 and 2 central midfielders looked decent , but the game for me was lost in the 1st half ,and the we seemed to tire in the last 10 when we run out of ideas.

"I thought we played the better football and had the lions share of possession all night , without actually creating many chances."
Sounds like we should ban them from watching the first team and picking up bad habits
-
The goalkeeper must not watch the first team,he caught three crosses, yes three in one game.

Ment to post this last night, was thinking driving back home, if the game had been played at cantley park, would it have been a different result, thinking is ....is the Keepmoat to wide for them to play on, at cantley park being somewhat smaller, its more quick passing, one two's, playing down the side's, ...or is it just me, looking for something that ain't there.Thought the lads played well .

Blackpool were the better team on the night and took their chances.
From my seat the penalty looked a little harsh and he made a meal of it, but, unfortunately part of the modern game and you cant be that rough in the box.
Their 2nd goal was a little unfortunate for the lads as they were slowly getting back in to the game.
Start of the 2nd half ~45-65 mins was promising and the half time talk seemed to kick start them. A lot more ball on the floor and finding the strikers feet which allowed the attacking phases to move higher up the pitch and involve the midfield / pushing on full backs - i think the formation change to 2 strikers and a #10 rather than 3 up top helped this too.
The last 20 minutes slowly reverted back to the first half as the game slipped away, but a lot of desire from the young men.
Hopefully they can take this experience into their remaining time with the Youth Team and Development Team and a few of the lads can kick on, develop and get something at the end of it.
-
The first goal he planted both feet on the floor and dived for the penalty , there second came from the corner and Morris rovers number 10 picked up there number 3 at every corner he was off the pitch at the time and no one else picked him up , Blackpool dished it out a few times and looked stronger there number 7 looked good his control and pace caused problems all night

I see that Stancliffe expects a reaction from his players following the youth cup defeat.
