Stuart highfield has just tipped up as chairman of frickley.

Will be good for them if he can bring some expertise from his time at the rovers he can only do well.

He was a good local ref and was a good customer of mine for many years.

Spoke to him a few times when he reffed me. Usually in four letter words though.

Paul Mayfield gave me my first yellow card. Handball outside the area playing in goal for Babworth Rovers when I was 11 or 12. Should really have sent me off!

At Fleetwood he was on the touch line and shook most of our players hands a they came off after the warm up before the game. I thought he was still at the club.

Paul Mayfield has been refereeing for about 30 years, I think to date he has booked about 6 players in total  !!! As for sending a player off....................

Didn't realise Ryan McKnight was there also. He ran FC Business magazine for quite a while then pitched up at Stockport as their CEO. I believe the youngest CEO as well. Now at Frickley?
