As the players were leaving the pitch after yesterday's match, Jamie saw a young lad and what appeared to be his dad waving at him.
Jamie took his time went over and spent time with the two of them and finished off by presenting the young lad with his captains armband.
By spending a couple of minutes with this lad and dad he made the lads day and won over a fan for life.
Jamie is nearly always to leave the pitch whatever the score and performance and despite the fact he's already reached " Legendary status " in most people's eyes, he continues to show humility.
We all look for different things in players in terms of commitment, tackling, skill, goals etc. Taking time for fans may not feature too highly on some supporters minds, but credit to Jamie who leads by example and is a credit to our club.

Can't agree with you more.
COPPS is a terrific role model for all our younger supporters.

Let's get an 80 foot statue of him erected somewhere.

the man is Class.

It's not as though he lives five minutes down the road as well when a game ends.

He's a fantastic ambassador and a role model as well as being a real genuine guy.
Same can be said of our former illustrious striker now playing for the Blades who, with the help of the club did me a massive favour recently in helping a mate celebrate his 50th birthday. They both have genuine appreciation for fans and give time and effort to make peoples days! Not all professional footballers are mercenaries!

He’s a top man all round. I hope he has a role with the club when he hangs up his boots. He’d be fantastic with the community or academy. Technically gifted like no other Rovers player I’ve ever seen play.
