You could pay for expensive protection with a Thatcham approved steering lock or just use a Cheezels bag for your keys, maybe an enterprising person out there could design a metal foil retractable key container that the key sits inside it when not in use. (like those old leather purses with a zipper)

So back to point ... would a "Pouch" made of Tin Foil work the same - or indeed - a metallic Walkers Packet ?

It's crazy. Doesnt matter what precautions you take nowadays.  Nothing is safe.

Yes, and it wouldn't be hard to test out, put one mobile phone in a foil bag and try to ring the number.

I was reading that some people have resorted to putting there keys in the fridge when at home as that also blocks the signal
