Can anyone help me with this?
The fanzine will be twenty years old in (I think) April, but having only gotten involved round about issue 11, I'm not sure of the exact date of the first issue.
Anyone know when the first 'zine went on sale? Contents suggest April 1998, possibly even the last game of the season in May, but I can't be sure.

Perhaps Nathan or Lucy might remember. I remember buying it around that time I think.
-
I think there was at least one other Fanzine initially - I have issue number 2 of ‘No smoking in the Main Stand’, and it dates from Ian Snodin’s time as manager - i.e. 1998 to 2000.
-
I’ve got it down as April 98
There were a number of other fanzines previous to that:
Raise the roof
Raise the roof II
Keegan was crap really
Warboys is still god
I wasn’t aware of the no smoking on the main stand one though.

Yes there were definitely a number of 'zines around before popular STAND, but I'm keen to pin down the exact date for popular STAND.
Can anyone help us be more specific than 'April 1998'?

I think you would need Sean or the other guy who founded it
-
You're right, I was posting on here in the hope that either Sean or Liam might see it.

Just to advise, I've got the answer to this now courtesy of one of the original editors. Turns out it was as early as March 1998.

Looking forward to the hardback 20th Anniversary issue.

Looking forward to the hardback 20th Anniversary issue.
We won't quite be going down that route, as I still want to ensure each fanzine we put out is £1.
However, I am looking at doing something along those lines when we reach issue 100.

I've got every one 😝

Can we have the Mark Wilson cover reprised please?
