Title: Peterboro ticket prices
Post by: anne honemous on December 20, 2017, 11:58:56 pm
£28 on the day for away fans.

Think I'll give that one a miss. Absolutely ridiculous pricing and they should be ashamed of themselves!

Their chairman usually likes to give it the big'un on Twitter, but I bet he's not so forthcoming if he gets asked why he's ripping people off.

Do how much would YOU pay to watch the Rovers!!! I do think the pricing for Peterborough supports coming to the Keepmoat should not be reciprocated as this would just be petty.

It's strange how we make the highest ticket price over Christmas and the lowest at the same time. Highest being at Peterborough in the whole league and lowest at the Keepmoat against Rochdale.

As expensive as the Peterborough tickets are, they are the same for home fans as they are for away, in equivalent seat sections.

So they are just as much ripping their own fans off too..

Even at £26 to buy in advance the price is too much for this division.  Only redeeming feature (for me) is that this is nearby, so taking petrol into account it is cheaper than going to Doncaster..

I was planning on going to this game but not after seeing those prices. It's a ridiculous price and we shouldn't have to pay that to watch league 1 football.

i took my lad to see spurs at wembley last month, we are both STHs at rovers so deffo no glory supporting, just a chance to see a match at wembley really..   It was 14 quid for the boy and 40 for me.    Slightly better value than the away end at the posh!

Their prices are a total disgrace.

To put it into context when we went there in 2004-05 and won 2-0, adult prices were £11.

Granted that was 12/13 years ago and our end was a terrace behind the goal but it doesn't justify an increase of around 150% when it's football at the exact same level.

According to the inflation rate calculator which you can get online, £11 in 2005 is worth around £15.50 nowadays!

It's also arguable whether football today is any better than it was 13 years ago.

Not paying that. Awful away end.

They've got to pay for Stephen Taylor somehow.

Most gates in league 1 were above the ave gate for the season so far.  No prizes for guessing who's gates are going down match by match. At those prices is it any wonder. Got less than 4,500 today

Sorry I told a lie, gate at Peterborough today was 4,640 and they are 7th in the league.
Surely if they reduced prices to the level of most clubs in this league they would get at least 2000 more fans and would if my maths are correct make more money. Total madness.
Peterborough's ave gates have dropped each season for at least the last 4 seasons.

Awful away end.

...and to think it used to be far and away one of the best - the epitome of "modern football is rubbish"

The atmospheric away terrace behind the goal is gone sadly - and replaced by a sterile all seat affair.

Do we know how many we are taking to Peterborough.

Do we know how many we are taking to Peterborough.

Are we counting women in the total, or just if they're accompanied by a man?

Anyone remember the FA Cup fiasco early 80's when the team had been out on the lash spotted in a nightclub at 2 in the morning the night before? Lost 5-2 I think. It was a dry game police herded us in, no sneaking off to the pub, and the best memory was seeing my mate sneak in a Watneys party 7 (remember them?) and run on the pitch when we scored and body swerved a copper who ended face down covered in mud! Priceless !! Believe Bremner gave them a real roasting after as we were in Div3 and they were Div4.

The new stand behind the goal is for home fans too.  Away fans are in the old stand on the side of the pitch, towards that end..  If I remember correctly the facilities inside are as cramped as, or even worse than, those at the main stand at BV were..

I think I have made a decision not to go to the game...despite it being my last chance this season.

Was going to take my 2 nephews along with my dad but the prices are crazy managed to get to 2 home games this trip. It's bizzare that a home game against Rochdale for me my wife and father is £3 less than the ticket for me alone to Peterborough. Adding 4 x coach journeys and its a crazy pricey day.

Still tempted though...but missed our ticket office by 30 mins today and no option to buy the tickets online.

Yes we are in the old main stand with wooden seats and no leg room.
Yet for that privilege we are being charged £26 for Adults and £21 for seniors. + £2 extra if you buy your ticket at the ground on the day.
I just do not understand the thinking at all.
We would take 1000 + fans if the price was £20 & £15  As it is we probably will have 500/600
Posh’s ave Gate is only 5600 and they have been hovering around 6/7/8th place all season. Sensible pricing and they would be probably be getting 2000 more through the gate.
Either the Chairman or CEO or both can’t do basic maths.

It’s a shocking price and by the sounds of it on the very very very very slim chance we went up this would actually be one of the cheapest tickets in the championship. Even the inbreeds down the road charge £32 for a category A game

Giving this one a miss, £28 is a total rip of for league 1 football.

So the £28 isn't even for the shiny new stand with modern facilities, good legroom and a good seat with an obstructed view of the pitch?

What on earth are they charging for that stand then?

Scratch +2 from Gillingham. Not shelling out £56 for tickets.

Add me and a couple of mates to list not prepared to shell out for these overpriced tickets.

One thing I hate about Peterborough is when we reduced ticket prices 2 seasons in a row for them they didn't do anything in return.

Only reason I'm going is my friends are sharing the fuel cost with me. Hope I don't regret it...

I went to the game , but can't remember anything about it except that we lost and would have played Luton away in round 3.(weird memory i've  got)

At least our game at Posh was a relatively decent one, especially given these prices.  Was still too much to pay but the deserved late equaliser went some way to compensate.

I left it late to decide to go to Peterborough, the cost of the ticket had put me off, but I went, the game was good to watch, the fans were good and in the end, the overall cost of the entrance was 'priceless' to see the goal at the end of the game.
The Cherry Tree pub has now closed down so there was less places to park and have a pre-match pint.
