You'd have thought, knowing a defeat would get him the sack, that he'd have played his strongest side to ensure they got the win today and buy him a bit longer.

On the subject of managerial changes, who the hell is this guy Wednesday have plucked from obscurity?

I don’t know why managers like Hughes continue to get managerial jobs. Great player. Abysmal manager.

He’s had good spells with clubs he’s been at.

Why is he abysmal.
Stoke have finished 13 or higher in his 4 seasons.
This season he lost some of his best players. Hence their struggle.

If you based league position on budgets the I would guess Stoke should finish around 14th to 17th

IMO he’s a poor manager. Yes he’s had good spells but what dies that equate to in the modern game?
