Fighting between themselves at the front behind the goal and two old lasses being arrested after getting involved! 😀😀😀😀
-
On top of that, setting off a flare a row behind a f**king child.
Stupid enough anyway but how f**king selfish have you got to be to set one off directly behind a little lad.
-
They weren't arrested we were sat above tunnel where they stopped them there and had a long chat. Offered them chance to go into side seatingfor injury time but they went home instead
-
To be fair I'm hearing one of the incidents was a woman taking a swing because a lad used a very offensive racist term. I hope she caught him cleanly.
-
Booing and giving the dogs abuse to a player who's obviously seriously injured as well was a very classy move as well.

Don't know what kicked it off, but the Women were on the F and C key well before the incident, one was also pointing and swearing at a Policeman and refusing to leave at one point. Some other elderly people asked to be moved into the side area, bbecause the trouble was spilling over into them, it was on the front row and again the selfish ones stood up spoiling it for those who wish to sit or are unable to stand for the duration of the game

He hadn't acted great himself.....
Anyone racist to quote Ferguson "shoot them"
-
This mindless sub-set of morons is one of the primary reasons I am not attending as many games as I used to, especially away games. It's not as safe as it was. And the Club know who they are - Christ sake, a few brag about it on Twitter.
I don't know all of them or their names but I could easily point a few trouble-makers out.
-

He shouldn't have been on the pitch to get injured, but he took a Tommy Rowe thunderbolt to the knee. I'm surprised his lower leg didn't clear the stand.
Agree on the racist thing. These people need to be out of our club and not come back.

And there is another section effected I was in the wings of the side to the right and one chap had a bab asthma attack with the pyro, I'm asthmatic my self and it gets to me so I know how he feels

It's time these knobjockeys were "outed"for good .
For years our supporters were recognised as some of the friendliest by oppo clubs and their supporters which meant that low level stewarding was granted to us however over the last few seasons these t**ts have undone years of hard work done by our own supporters club, self- stewarding and excellent police liason support . Somehow we need to get these idiots away from games , some know who they are ......now get them banned for life please especially the pyromaniacs !!
These idiots don't represent our club and we want it back from them asap.

f**k him don't usually condone things like that but brought it on himself with the way he acted earlier in game going down twice before faking it
-
There was a cheeky runt wanting to cause trouble with some Scunny fans on the way out of the ground, he was complaining to the stewards/police saying that he had been hit by someone and I'm only 13, he's the next generation of our hooligans.

With all the CCTV in the grounds I can’t understand why most these morons haven’t been caught and banned already. It is time now to get it sorted because a small minority are going to turn many genuine supporters away from following the club especially away matches.
I think it is 4 consequitive away games at Scunthorpe now where we have had flares set off and other trouble in the ground.

There were some punches thrown on way out with scunny fans. The police got hold of them. That'll be a three year banning order, a possible criminal conviction and everything that comes with it, all for a couple of punches. You just have to look at Amanda Rogers Twitter feed to see how draconian punishments are when football is involved.

Having been lucky enough to spend time in a football control room, it's incredibly difficult to pinpoint the exact point it gets set off and as you can imagine the purportrators don't hold onto it for long. While HD cameras have moved the efforts forward, working out the person to the seat is practically impossible.
-
A big reason why I don't go much anymore. I like to take my two young lads but the last 5 or 6 times we've been something has happened within our own fans that has shit them up.
They particularly enjoy it anymore so what's the point going?
-
Load of b*llocks!!!
-
I have to show my age and intolerance at bad social behavior by condemning ALSO some of our chants . There seem to be fewer chants in support of our team and more e moronic chants X place is a s***house being the most popular . The nasty chants when Bishop was lying with a serious injury were not clever nor will they do much for the image of our club in the broader football community.
-
Load of b*llocks!!!
What is?
-
Don't boo or Sing certain Songs!!! It's a f**kin football match. I dispear😣
-
Iv never take a pyro to a game myself but I like it when we use them as it creates a great atmosphere, I understand some people have trouble with the smoke but we know they usually go off at the back of the stand direct behind the goal so why don’t people who don’t like been apart of that sit near the front and to the side
-

Problem with pyros is the smoke goes everywhere and isn't just contained to a small section at the back of the stand.

You mean like people wishing to sit go to the front, and the selfish t**ts that want to stand go to the front as well, that works really well does n't it, as was demonstrated last night
-
There was plenty of space to sit and see last night guess u didn’t look hard enough, it’s only the odd occasion when we sell out anyway , but hey ho u can’t please everyone I guess
-

I was on the front row, you'd expect to get an unobstuctive view from there, but in the second half most of the single cell pond life came down to the front obstructing any view that I and many others had, then there were the two hooligan old lasses and some lads having a bit of a fight.
Where do you think I should have sat to accomodate the selfish t**ts?
-
Don't boo or Sing certain Songs!!! It's a f**kin football match. I dispear😣
Clearly one of the morons from last night!
After going away to watch us at the Emirates and our own fans ruining a lot of peoples enjoyment of the game by fighting amongst themselves, refusing to sit down when asked by elderly people or people with kids, flares been thrown onto the pitch, I have very little interest in going to any away games these days. Far too many idiots who are not there to support the club/ players/manager but purely to act like pillocks!

Which bit of pyros being illegal in football stadia don’t you understand?

Compounded by the fact that the stand is tiny and the roof pretty low.
The ones at Brentford are the only time I've ever thought they added anything to the occasion, and even then it was still a daft idea. Looked great in the pictures but could've done serious harm.
-
Like I said guys iv never taken 1 to a match myself but it’s just my view that I kinda enjoy to see the red smoke going off now and again

Amanda Rogers?
-
The fsf solicitor. Looks after football supporters. Fsf fair cop I think it is on Twitter. Big fan of her work
-
Amanda jacks! Ha ha ha
-
And she's not the solicitor either. Amanda is our case worker who works in tandem with the authorities and a legal team who are absolutely excellent at what they do.
But thanks for the shout out, she is very good at what she does.
-
Like I said guys iv never taken 1 to a match myself but it’s just my view that I kinda enjoy to see the red smoke going off now and again
You'd not enjoy it if you had asthma like myself and many other supporters, or if you had a young kid with you. Or if it got set off near you and injured you. Just selfish of those who do bring them and let them off.
Supporters maybe need searching better before going in to lessen the chances of this happening too.
-
Last night they only seemed to search the people that wear stuff you'd associate with trouble causers like the scarf over the face getup etc.
-
Dear Viz, I had to laugh at the '.........is a shithole' song when it was sung in Shrewsbury, as it is clearly one of the nicest towns in the U.K.

I agree but it’s equally
Offensive to make a homophobic comment like you just did.

And that will be everyone if the pyros are going off so they can breathe

What, so everybody with a ticket will be going towards the turnstiles with scarves over their face so they can breathe through a pyro that may or may not be at a game?
-

Don’t know if anyone else picked up on this, two minutes after the “Scunthorpe’s a sh*t hole” song they decided to sing the “ don’t take me home, please don’t take me home” song.
-
Our fans are far far away from being the worst in the football league in regards to trouble and idiocy.
Expect similar will happen when we play Rotherham however it happens with every team.
Problem with smoke bombs they drop it on the floor as they don’t want to be identified. Held in the air above would cause as much of an issue.
-
Like I said guys iv never taken 1 to a match myself but it’s just my view that I kinda enjoy to see the red smoke going off now and again
And that's you idea of 'an atmosphere'? You're at a football match FFS, you've already got an atmosphere,
-
I've never had much of an issue with pyro before and I used to love watching Gazzetta Football Italia back in the '90s with flares going off in the stands and the like but last night I couldn't see the pitch, found it hard to breathe and got a really sore throat thanks to the density of the smoke in the stand. It was horrible for a reasonably fit and healthy bloke like me so it must've been awful for children and asthma sufferers.

Are you serious. They are a serious health hazard to any one with breathing difficulties and they are ILLEGAL. Have you never noticed smoke does not stay in one place.
We even had one total nutter who set one off in a motorway service station a couple of years ago.

The first one let off last night was let off to the left of the goal as the fans faced the pitch, so I reckon your really helpful advice really worked did n't it?

Everyone on here has phones with cameras. Take pics, vids, give them to plod. Easy.
Less talk, more do.

Exactly what people should do at the Rotherham game in a few weeks.
Our fans have been arguing amongst themselves for years though. Remember 'poogate' at Orient or the fighting in the stands at Hartlepool? They were at least five years ago.

for your information I was sat to the extreme right of the stand and it goes alone the roof and films the whole stand it affected my breathing so much I had to go out side till it went so I missed parts of the game, so is that right

I to have asthma and c.o.p.d and can't breathe correctly best of times, but it is impossible to when they set them off. They give the pyros to the younger fans to take in as they never get searched cos of their age

yesterday I entered the ground with a multi tool I had on me by mistake in my coat , it has a 3 inch blade as part of it and I was searched the only to stop people entering the ground with pyros is to search people properly

Do we have and evidence of are fans who have been injured or take to hospital cos they could not breath because of the smoke ? If so then people who enjoy the show of smoke might understand what you are getting at but all I see at the min is lots of people who don’t like the young lads and there antics so jump on here and winge

A 10 second google but not up to date
Recent examples of injuries caused by pyrotechnics at English football grounds
• Leeds United v Shrewsbury Town, 11 August 2012 – two supporters were injured, one requiring hospital treatment, when an industrial firework was ignited and thrown in the away supporters’ toilet.
• Coventry City v Walsall, 8 December 2012 - a flare was discharged by the Walsall supporters. A steward placed his foot on the device to prevent further smoke escaping, however the sole of his shoe melted causing injury.
• Leicester City v Sheffield Wednesday, 9 March 2013 - a female supporter received treatment for burns to her leg from one of the smoke bombs thrown between supporters.
• Bolton Wanderers v Huddersfield Town, 2 April 2013 - Bolton supporters ignited a flare and an 18 year old youth was treated for burns picking it up.
• West Bromwich Albion v Newcastle United, 20 April 2013 – fans were treated for shrapnel wounds following the setting off of thunder flashes. Debris passed through jeans and caused cuts to legs.
• Wigan Athletic v Aston Villa, May 2013 - a 15-year-old boy suffered lung damage from a smoke bomb thrown during the game. The boy needed hospital treatment, while two women aged 22 and 24, also required attention for the effects of the device.
• Liverpool v Everton, May 2013 – an eight year Everton fan was hit by a smoke bomb thrown by fans in the away end. He was treated for a burn on his neck on his first visit to a Merseyside derby.
• Aston Villa v Tottenham Hotspur on 20 October 2013 - an assistant referee was struck by a lit smoke canister thrown from the stand.

why not do the research yourself, to understand why these things are illegal at football.

no one said anyone went to hospital cos they could not breathe I SAID it affected people in the ground that could not, Me for one and another chap, but that does not seem to bother you and the others that actually use the damn things, you seem to condone the idiots using them, some won't be happy or things done till something does happen and someone ether does get taken to hospital or even dies, it seems to be ok with you because you don't have a breathing problem but it WILL drive our fans away

You want to enjoy smoke? Go to a bonfire and have an orgasm.

Probably the most stupid post on here regarding smoke bombs, it must make you wonder why the powers that be ban them eh?
-
Anyone that finds it good fun that others take them in to the ground should get a lengthy BAN from any football ground in the country as they are just as bad as the idiots

But being able to gasp in wonder at a puff of smoke outweighs any distress fellow supporters might have to endure!!

And I'm debating, so I won't give it a rest.
I've never said you should have a ban. Why do you think I did?
Them stewards, police and other supporters who want the rules followed for others' safety are real busybodies aren't they. Bas**rds, eh?

If I am winging about others affecting my health that is poor anyway then I am guilty

Yes it is a debate, but getting away from any personal or OTT remarks, you aren't going to win a debate on pyros at football. That's not an age thing either, it's a legal thing and also common sense.
So what if coloured smoke looks great? I think it looks great too, but the other issues outweigh the "look". Having an opinion is all well and good, but that doesn't mean you can't be wrong..
-
Into the 3rd page of some of our fans are total d**kheads, which surprises me as I thought it was a given!
COYR
-
I quite like how they look, so you could say I "enjoy the show". What I don't like is having my lungs f**king filled with the stuff because it's being set off in an enclosed space where there's next to no escape, with a young child who can barely breathe because of it, isn't my idea of enjoyment.
It's not too bad on an open terrace as at least the smoke can dissipate into the sky unimpeded, but it still goes everywhere with the wind. And as stated, the people who set them off lob them on the floor as soon as they can anyway, so not only are they selfish as f**k, they're too cowardly to allow themselves to be held to account. They want to feel rebellious without actually getting caught. No surprise that it's mostly younger people that do it.
-
The pyro smoke bomb is the toy of choice for the wannabee hooligans who will also run around outside afterwards giving it large and trying to provoke something with fellow teeny boppers from the opposition.
It'll be exactly the same in Rotherham in a few weeks!
If you put them in a pub with a few tables, chairs, proper blokes and some blades knocking about, I suddenly doubt they'd be so boisterous.
Always been the same but as they grow up and get older, they'll learn.
-

And, of course, when they're chucked on the floor the fumes are coming at people from below and are denser and more concentrated. At least when they're held aloft there's a good chances the fumes will go straight into any wind and over people's heads. But no, being a coward is the order of the day. Still, the smoke makes some people's match 'experience' so much better that it outweighs the distress it causes so many other people, so that's alright then.

Bit of both.

Agree, expect to see similar behaviour at Rotherham. Can spoil it for the majority. Dont get me wrong its great to celebrate a goal with randomers because the team you all love have just scored but to celebrate with a smoke bomb? no need. My Opinion of course before i am shot down.

To be fair I'm hearing one of the incidents was a woman taking a swing because a lad used a very offensive racist term. I hope she caught him cleanly.
That's what i've heard too. Same lad who dressed in a burka at Bradford. Absolute f**king muppet.

Wouldn't it be karma if he did the same at the home match against Bradford. And got the shit kicked out of him by some real racists.

The charges were dropped after his arrest at the game and the ladies were arrested in this incident. When you think about some of the trivial incidents that football fans are charged for it makes a mockery of the justice system.

The ladies weren't arrested, as I said earlier they left of their own accord and ended on good terms with the police
