We only had one shot on target today according to the never knowingly right BBC. Were they at a different match or was I?

We had the much better chances, you wouldn’t think so looking at that.

We had plenty of shots, most were way off target and they did have a few good chances that required decent saves from our goalie so I reckon those stats are not far off.
Based on goal scoring positions/opportunities we should have won easily but our players being shot shy, trying to pass the ball into the goal, taking too many touches and trying to passing our way through a congested area was our downfall.

I recall us having 3 on target

... but you were right earlier . Lump on Bristol at 5/2. I did not bet hey ho that's been my day today

We had 3 on target in just one sequence in the first half.

It said we'd had 5 shots total at half time and that wasn't right at all.

Shots blocked by defenders do not count as on target according to the bbc.
They only count shots actually saved by the keeper as shots on target.

Never knowingly right I can understand it if its blocked some way out but when its blocked on the line its cobblers

Totally agree but that is how it is done.

I keep saying this it's NOT the BBC.
It's the Press Association (PA). They in turn sell them onto the various people.
I do agree on questioning the figures though.
