Currently making that Friday night 0-0 we got at Newport look a brilliant result.
-
1-1
-
1-1 is probably the best result for the club, because even if Tottenham cut there prices they will probably still sell 35k + for the replay and at say £25 a ticket ,they will make over £150k. Newport themselves will sell over 8k tickets

Anyone else thinking the fa cups becoming a bit of a farce?
Seems to be going the same way as the old league cup went, weakened teams, random results, falling attendances etc

Yep, I agree, even our fans don’t bother turning out for FACup matches.

Spurs fielded a very strong team, to be fair. Probably not a million miles away from a full strength side.

Money is killing football. Over egged wages, over priced tickets, too much emphasis on television, too much emphasis on business models and brand image, the scourge of football agents, the watering down of national talent with saturation of foreign players with their expensive price tags. Managers that take contracts knowing full well when they get sacked they still get paid complete with golden handshake to boot. It's all wrong, very wrong.
All in the name of what?
They say the premiership is the best league in the world? At what cost though. The nations best beginning to turn their backs on the oldest and most famous cup competition in the world.
Only a matter of time before the elite break away to form a European super league too.
Money will kill football.

They’ve been saying money will kill Football since Jimmy Hill went and got the £20 a week wage cap scrapped! Think of the billions that get paid into the treasury by the way of tax.

Didn’t see the game so can’t comment too much but Spurs had no more than 4 of their best sidenout today.

It was hardly a weak side.

by chance I accidentally came across the half time odds for this match and saw TOTTERINGham (much better name than in the header) "tottering" at odds against to win and though wtf funnily enough my super six random selection a year ago for the Tottenham Wycombe f a cup match at white hart lane was 0-2 to Wycombe and at one stage it was that score - and I actually thought I had a chance -YOU WOULD HAVE THOUGHT POCKETCHINO would have remembered his players about that ..
