Looks yet again this time of the year to be on a downward spiral. Looks rubbish again. Not an expert but it’s hardly been a terrible winter.
-
Needs a complete relay in summer guess the grow lights aren't working well
-
Don't care what anyone says about rugby does n't affect it, it deteriorated straight after the Dons only game on it so far

Must be a coincidence Filo.
-
I was going to say it should be OK with all that shite on it, but I'd have been crucified by the super fans!
-
Correct, it looked noticeably worse the other week straight after the rugby started on it. They do not have the crowds to justify playing in the 15,000 seat main stadium so it shouldn't be happening, simple as that for me. The pitch is a total mess and it really wasn't anything like that until the rugby kicked off.
-
Think find the dons have only played once and last week they played on the outside pitch. However the belles have been playing as well.
So I think it is not getting enough sun or enough recovery time to regrow

Is it not part of the terms of the lease that the Dons play on it as well? fairly sure we don't have much choice over it.
-
Yes it is the council said it is for Rovers Dons and bells so they play there end of but how can they blame the Dons thru have only played 1 game there haven't they
-
The problem is the Rugby starts at the coldest & wettest time of year so we have this problem every year with pitch deteriation in February.
-
When the pitch improves in April/May with the weather will people attribute that improvement to the Dons as well? Because they'll be playing on it then.
-
After suffering that rubbish today you have got me thinking maybe we had some of the Don's players in the team we put out.
-
They get worse in winter. Always have always will. Miles better than years ago.
-
Get it in to your stubborn heads RUGBY LEAGUE DOES NOT AFFECT THE FLOCKING PITCH if it did it would be bad all over it but it is only bad down the middle
-
We mentioned that the pitch was in a quite good condition for the time of the year and how many other games were called off today because of pitch conditions? We again used the sprinklers at half time.
-
We need to use a sun light on it to make the grass come through like some other clubs do
-
We need to get some weed lamps off South Yorkshire's finest.
-
So one game of rugby totally ruins a pitch, get a grip.
-
Some will blame rugby league for any little thing, but they need to remember the ground is for all not one, and no dons on it no Rovers that is a agreement
-
bad pitch along the touchlines , even the linesman on the East stand slipped over , missing the decision of whether Lawlor was out of the penalty area when he picked the ball up
-
He was out of the area by the way. A good couple of feet.
-
Yep, we got away with that one.
-
What a load of cobblers, just watching the goal rush on 5 and our pitch is about the best in the division!
-

I’d suggest you come and watch a game to see if you think it does have a negative impact on the pitch for yourselves.
Never had an issue at Bellevue did we.
Up the dons.

Nothing to do with the council Dave, its our ground now and completely under our control.
-

We already have. They're used mainly in the 6 yard boxes.
-
The grass seems too short to me. Especially given the number of teams playing on it.
-
Another consequence of new stadiums is not only loss of atmosphere but bowl-itis whereby no natural light can get to part of pitch due to screening effect of the bowl.
-
Swansea roof is see through. Well most of it. Bet that will help
-
wonder how many times the frost covers have been on these last few weeks I'm no gardener but the covers must be on for several days before a game, but not necessarily all the time. Doesn't take long for the grass to deteriorate
-
I heard today the head groundsman is going to Lincoln city working 6 days notice
-
It's nothing to do with the pitch but did they, as was rumoured install solar panels on the roof of the stands , I seem to hear it been talked about a few years ago

As in, did we as a club? There were solar panels installed on the roof of the South Stand.

Yes they did...the panels are on the south stand roof.

Yes, but it's nothing to do with the pitch or its condition. He's joining up with Liam Scullly.
