A quick look at how we've lined up over recent years in this division really highlights how much character the side has lost, but surely not as bad as the one relegated in 2016?
2012-13 / 2015-16 / 2017-18
Woods / Stuckmann / Lawlor
Quinn / Lund / Blair
McCombe / McCullough / Wright
Jones / Butler / Butler
Spurr / T-Sinclair / Mason
Cotterill / Coppinger / Coppinger
Keegan / Middleton / Houghton
Syers / Chaplow / Whiteman
Bennett / Evina / Rowe
Paynter / Tyson / May
Brown / Williams / Marquis

2012/13 team should have Lundstrum not Syers.

Also, where's Copps from the 2012/13 team?
-
Also Coppinger and not Bennett in 2012/13
-
Just beat me to it B B
-
Was based on most appearances;
Syers 32 v 14 Lundstram
Bennett 35 v 25 Coppinger
-
Coppinged was at Forest for the first half of the season so fair enough having Bennett. Probably Bennetts best season with us IMO.

Why? Syers played a more important role (and by that I mean he was our jack of all trades) for much of the season then I think he got injured with a couple of months to go. Lundstram played his part but not more so than Syers.

We I would disagree Lundstrum started a lot more games than Syers. If I am wrong I stand to be corrected. Lundstrum was a key player with Keegan in the midfield that season. Syers was a bit part player.

Just seen this post. Are you sure? Is that starts and not subs. I am astounded in those figures as Lundstrum was a key player from my memory.

Out of all of those, I actually prefer the team we have now! :chair:
-
Syers got some important goals for us.
-
Lundstram came in the 2nd half of the season on loan when Flynn took over.

Syers - 20 starts + 12 sub - 3 goals
Lundstram - 14 starts + 0 sub - 0 goals

Ok I stand to be corrected I apologise. Memory must be playing tricks on me.
-
Didn't Syers get the winner in consecutive games? One was a last minute winner, maybe at Oldham.
-
Yes, he definitely did. Was it him who got a bit of a worldy at Deepdale that year?
