funny how nobody has mentioned Sam Johnstone's "hole in one" on saturday evening when he sent the free kick staright to the feet of a Fulham player who embarrassed him

that was far worse ... but when you can't see the trees from the woods ................ :chair:

Being in the Midlands I hear quite a lot about Aston Villa and Johnstone has been outstanding this season. He made a huge ricket on Saturday but he has a fair amount of credit in the bank.

It was more a comment on a lack of improvement in the handling of one ex-goalkeeper rather than a rare error by one who was in an entirely different league in terms of ability.

this one has to be seen to be believed

and its a real football match

out of interest would the goal have stood if the goalie got his studs entangled in the netting in the back of the net and couldn't move -- ??

Lol! Love his cat like stance a yard behind the goal line and the ball in the back of the net to his right!

Johnstone or no keeper should be taking a free kick that far out of his penalty area just inviting trouble.
Not a free kick but anyone remember Sully at Coventry from the touch line.

Sent shivers down my spine that, watching Gary woods playing for a team in red & white hoops and dropping the mother of all b*ll*cks like that!  :cold:
